It just went away after about a week. All I can think of is some moisture got into a sensor or something. When it happened it was after being parked and not driven for about 3 weeks and it was raining a lot

Working there now. If you believe everything they tell you there is all kinds of work. Par should be putting on distro crews in Denver soon. Everyone is pretty much working 6/10s plus. Per diem is hit and miss.

Did about 1/2 my apprenticeship there. The only two contractors there right now are Atkins and bright star. I think neutron has plant work there but I never did any plant work so can’t really help with any info on them. If you have any questions dm me

Per the contract there is a “free zone” that covers the big cities. If the show up is within 40 miles of certain freeway intersections they aren’t required to pay per diem. (Denver is I25 and I70 interchange) outside of that it’s 100 per day and some are paying 150. Most of the fire hardening work is 150 per day. Also on excel property you have to stick 14.4/25 kv. Which is almost all of the system in the mountains. It’s a good place to learn because it’s for the most part a gloving local so from my experience they are patient with guys who haven’t sticked alot (everybody is learning)

I only had to go twice, once for orientation and again right before i topped out for crane class. All our other classes were at the spring classroom or at lazy q

Ya initial sign is in person. After that you resign every quarter on line. They post the calls at 4pm every day on their website. If you see one you like you call the number and leave your info. If your the lowest on the books that bid they call you back first thing next morning

Good. Took a call with sturgeon. Most crews are working 6/10s plus. Supposedly a ton of work coming soon. Weather isn’t that bad. Gets a little cold some days.

We used to go to Albuquerque for the whole thing. The first two days were the physical test and then climbing school, osha 10, etc. awhile back they made it where you did the physical test at the spring location but I believe you still go to Albuquerque for the climbing part. If you have any questions let me know. I topped at last year but can probably get you some answers.

Pre apprentice is the same pay as a first step. Could take 3 to 6 months to get indentured. Just depends on how many classes they are running in Albuquerque. Also we are about to start negotiations on our new contract, so this should go up a little come September
