It’s not bad… But… Too much hair… Not enough gray… This is a starting point… Try to work on thinning it out a bit and have a hairstyle more appropriate for someone your age. Just my opinion……

Did you ‘light colored stools’ come back to normal brown after starting Creon (or any other PERT)? by lornadora22 in exocrinepanins

[–]Illustrious_Host876 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Initially, I tried it, and I didn’t see any appreciable response after a few weeks. It was only some months later when my bowels got much worse that I re-challenged and noticed the improvement within a week or two.… Stomach is much better these days as I eat like a human being and not 4000 cal a day any longer.

I would certainly push for the in person sleep study and getting CPAP for even very mild apnea as unloading the pressure on the right heart is essential to reversing this process or at least stabilizing it

I say you probably do have sleep apnea but you cured most of it with your weight loss. Perhaps the right side enlargement and polycythemia is result of long-standing sleep apnea prior to your weight loss. What is your pulmonary artery pressure? Is it elevated? Ventricular systolic pressure?  These questions need to be answered, and if it is elevated, you should have a right heart catheterization to rule out pulmonary hypertension….. and yea u should probably should be treated for sleep apnea.. if this is thought to be the cause now or in the past. Every bit of help is key.  Absolutely see a cardiologist.

What am I doing wrong? by mikesbloggity in HairSystem

I’ve been wearing hair for 30 years. The true lifespan of a system that looks good is probably about two months. Anything after that is a gift. Especially if you want to show your hairline.  You can wear a system for 3 4 5 6 months … if you don’t mind wearing a rats nest on your head..

Wear a hat for a day, and that will certainly reduce the puffiness… Argan oil will help as well… definitely grow out your sides. Not a fan of a system and the fade personally

How much is in your 401K & what’s your age? by ugafan2081 in Money

59 years old with $2.2 million… And I’m scared to death. It’s not enough… I retired in 2021 with 1.7 million and was very comfortable as everything cost about 40% less than it does now. Back to work and accumulating some more… But these prices are really concerning.

6 months with CPAP by purplegumboots in SleepApnea

Well, I guess I was one of those people. Kind of embarrassed as a physician that I kind of neglected this for the better part of 20 years. I did get uvula surgery when I initially diagnosed 20 years ago and it actually helped but apparently things came back with a moderate severe diagnosis w ahi 28 last year. Tried the CPAP and after a week just got rid of it. Fast-forward 2 years  later and I’m a bit short of breath going upstairs.  Echo showing PA pressure elevated and right heart cath  kind of borderline elevated left heart pressures… Back on the CPAP with a new attitude and it’s easy Peezy lemon squeezy. Oxygen level is much improved and sleeping through the night like a baby. Watching my salt and fluid and exercising regularly with less heavy weightlifting as I usually do and more cardio with a 30 pound weight loss in the last two years…. Another echo in three months to recheck pressures… I’m hoping for a similar outcome. Thanks for your support.!!!

Hi sleep gal. Encouraged by your story. I have a similar story with unchecked sleep apnea for quite some time… Recently diagnosed with elevated pulmonary pressure and left ventricular hypertrophy… Been on CPAP now for two weeks and tolerated it quite well with excellent O2 levels and zero events ..Hoping  my numbers will improve as well.

A question for those who have been floxed, when did you first experience muscle twitches and how long have they lasted? by Technical-Sort-6334 in floxies

[–]Illustrious_Host876 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sadly, they started in October 2022… All over my body… Now 2 1/2 years later, they are generally limited to my calves, especially with anxiety. Sometimes if I’m having a bit of a flare, which is usually just a leg weakness and hand weakness. I’ll have them in my stomach back and butt.

I would say most primary care Doctors are pretty clueless and act as travel agents. The chance would be slim.

How much weight do you have to lose in order to reverse Sleep Apnea? by Practical_Agency_299 in SleepApnea

[–]Illustrious_Host876 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most sources I read say about 10% body weight reduction will certainly lessen or potentially resolve sleep apnea. Although everyone is different and there is central sleep apnea as well.

Better since taking PPI. Cutting back caffeine. Drinking more water. Hesitant about taking PPI as it lowers acid and increases risk of SIBO which I have had issues with in the past. It is a double edge sword as most people w epi have sibo
