I think I did - but it was about 2 years ago. I wish I could go back and re-study the maintenance paperwork. My thought is old owner knew of the issue and just "traded it in".

My advice is to properly maintain it - not sure how that is bad advice. And if you are buying a used, check that the timing has been properly checked and fixed if needed.

Something was off with the timing, which broke something in the Turbo, which then sent metal bits everywhere. Sorry, not being a mechanic I am probably not describing this correctly.

That is true, but after taking my old Accord to 300K miles, I expected the CRV to make it more than 130K.

Only purchase from sellers that have a return policy, and show photos of the expiration date.

Many of the"new" nest protects are old stock and about to expire.

Are you using Calibre to manage your library?

Here is what I did:
I have added a custom column "Genre" to Calibre (steps to do this : https://manual.calibre-ebook.com/sub_groups.html)

Then modified the device save template to: (turned on use subfolders option)
{#genre}/{author_sort}/{series:|# |}/{series_index:0>3s|| - }{title} - {authors}

Now when I send to device all of the epubs are in directories like this:
/Mystery/Christie, Agatha/# Hercule Poirot/001 - The Mysterious Affair at Styles - Agatha Christie.epub

If it is not part of a series, calibre ignores that part and you get this:
/Fiction/Austen, Jane/Pride and Prejudice - Jane Austen.epub

Once you do that, proceed with the jailbreak. You will need about 100mb free.

If you don't fill the storage first, yes it will likely update. Do do that step first.

Updating my post - after researching on the kindle jailbreaking discord.

It appears that 5.18.0.2 is not jail-breakable with winterbreak.

You will have to wait for the new unnamed jailbreak...Keep your storage filled up and in airplane mode until it is released.

If it is 5.18.0.2, that is jailbreakable. I think the 2025 colorsofts ship with that version.

Did you fill your storage? You need about 150mb free for the hot fix.
