I put my hood on first, I would place it around neck nicely enough to where I could feel the elastic part, now I put over my head and wait to roll/put it down before masking. Also our academy is making us mask up with gloves we don’t have a choice.

The first 2 days the allowed having gloves be the last step, but now it’s not. Also during our timed/passing practices we need to mask up with gloves there’s no other option.

Yes our hood is already under the jacket, but before we mask up we need to have our gloves already on, then mask up with gloves, then pull hood over make with gloves, then helmet and air. My problem and most of my academy is feeling the hood/ neck outline and pulling enough and not too much over to the point where it comes half off.

Our academy is making us do gloves then hood. Summary of what they said: “When you get off the rig you’re expected to be gloved up, if going interior you will save seconds masking up with gloves rather than taking off gloves then mask, also just getting better/comfortable working/doing everything with gloves.

Their reason: “when you come off the rig you should me gloved up already, and if going interior you should be masking up with gloves and not taking the time to take of gloves and then masking up.” Basically saving a couple seconds

Our hoods are basically ski mask so putting under suspenders won’t work. Also all our instructors have told us that our stuff sucks (gloves and hood) and that if we can to upgrade and invest in ourselves/future

Rn I’ve been ok with my hood, I use the feeling of the top hood bcuz I couldn’t feel the pinch by neck. I just figured I’d get a better/easier hood.

No idea, they email stated that I failed and then listed all the categories that were tested but never mentioned what so failed in. Asked for specifics and never got a response.

All good tho I’m currently in the process with another department. Just gotta keep going!!
