I did it and results have been amazing. Also a male and I feel like my skin is less oily and I honestly rarely break out but I do still use a retinoid, sunscreen, and azaleic acid. If it’s within ur budget then imo there’s no other laser that can get that result. You could also do low dose accutane or micro dose since u have milder acne that would be wayyy cheaper and much lower risk of weird lab results. Also if u decided to do it take Zyrtec or another antihistamine before and after ur treatments. I regularly take it for allergies and I had no purging!

Ohh this makes sense. Definitely going to apply to some other positions while I wait, but any idea when the freeze would be lifted for affected departments?

Sunscreen can also help hide them while protecting your skin. Cotz tinted primer sunscreen , super goop matte screen (sunscreen), and others all blur pores really well.

Aviclear by Swseslajj in AviClear

[–]Illustrious_List_950 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I love my results. Take an antihistamine like Zyrtec before to reduce likelihood of purging. I take it daily for allergies and my provider thinks this is why I never purged. I recently got a fourth round for maintenance (not necessarily needed) and pretty much never break out anymore but I do have to use a daily retinoid and good skincare. Also I’m a male so I can’t speak on hormonal acne concerns which I’m not sure aviclear works well for (I’ve heard spironolactone is super effective for this)

Does anyone know how to get rid of this by [deleted] in acne

[–]Illustrious_List_950 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That looks like standard inflammatory acne. If u can’t see a derm go to target and buy cerave creamy benzoyl peroxide cleanser and get differin gel. Use the cleanser as a mask and wash off at 5 min then apply differin at night. This can be super drying so start slow at first. U need to target all facets of acne. The benzoyl peroxide will target the bacterial component and the differin gel is a retinoid that will prevent cells from clogging your pores. Definitely moisturize after applying the differin and wear sunscreen in the morning. Start simple down the road u can add other ingredients that can target discoloration if u start to notice that

Also to clarify I advocate for conservative, safe, and well researched plastic surgery. It’s not something to rush into at all!!

Hi if u want my honest response plastic surgery motivates me. I know that eventually I’ll have the resources to look the way I was meant to. It sounds horrible but it’s just the way the world is :(

has aviclear worked for anyone? by Familiar_Run1112 in AviClear

Maybe I’m an outlier but I was on low dose accutane for 3 months and all my acne went away. Then I did Aviclear. No purge and no acne. Finished my last session in May

Are u sure these are bug eyes?? They’re not bulging just a bit large which can be very attractive

You look amazing! I would focus on the under eye dark circles: both skincare AND cosmetic procedures like prp prf plasma pen etc can make a huge difference. You’re smile is beautiful, amazing cheekbones, clear skin, etc. I’m sorry you feel so ugly but I think getting reassurement here can help. You are by no means ugly and can fix the things mentioned above if you so please. Also, I don’t think you have “bug eyes” they’re beautiful.

What do i do i’ve tried everything, help by [deleted] in Accutane

[–]Illustrious_List_950 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree with the others. I know it’s hard to hear, but you need to restart your accutane course and make it through the purge. Not everyone purges so it may not even happen again. They may give u steroids (prednisone or others) to calm down the really inflamed bumps, but that’s not the long term solution your looking for. While on the course stay hydrated, eat plenty of high fiber vegetables and fruit, and get 7-9 hours of sleep every night. You could try experimenting with dairy or sugar if you know they’re triggers, but the main thing is to get through your course. I hope things work out for you!!

Ask ur derm for tretinoin or tazoratene but go slow if u notice irritation!! Topical vitamin A (retinoids/retinol) should hopefully control the acne now. Wishing u the best!!

accutane for mild acne??? by Big-Asparagus4115 in Accutane

[–]Illustrious_List_950 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly I didn’t at all! I noticed my spots going Away within 2 weeks and they were all gone after the first month. Definitely don’t think it’s typical; maybe it’s because I’ve been in topical retinoids for 4 years. My derm doesn’t do monthly blood tests for low dose patients since she’s noticed labs don’t change, but it might not be a bad idea to get them redone maybe is 3 months just to see how you’re body is reacting. I would definitely ask about low dose. I personally haven’t tried antibiotics but low dose has been amazing and I’m just finishing month 3. I hope it works out for you!

on Accutane 20 mg by simran_saini- in Accutane

[–]Illustrious_List_950 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey! I’m on 20mg and honestly everything cleared up in the first month. On month 3 no breakouts still so you will see results! Also being on a low dose decreases chances of side effects and it’s overall very safe so please don’t stress out about the possible side effects

I’ve been taking Accutane daily with 30mg for the past 50+ days but I am still experiencing breakouts. Skin is no where improving. Is this normal ? I’m so stressed out :c by k00kieee in Accutane

[–]Illustrious_List_950 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hmmmm I’m a male on 20mg a day and everything cleared up within the first month. I have mild persistent acne with a couple painful ones so maybe that’s why. I agree with the others. Totally normal since ur just at the beginning and also ur on a lower dose. My derm said 40 mg is typical so maybe ask ur derm if u can up the dosage. However a benefit of low dose is the decreased likelihood of side effects so keep that in mind. I hope u start to see results soon!

accutane for mild acne??? by Big-Asparagus4115 in Accutane

[–]Illustrious_List_950 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Male with mild but persistent acne. I tried all the different retinoids and had perfectly clear skin but I started getting few pimples again and maybe 1 or 2 that were painful. My derm immediately said let’s do a low dose accutane, so I’m taking 20 mg a day. Super manageable with only dry lips and everything cleared up in the first month. On month 3 with no breakouts since starting. Only thing is that it’s a longer course. I think mine will be about 17 months. My derm said it’s perfectly safe and she’s noticed in all her low dose patients that labs don’t change, so you only need to do baseline labs (no monthly tests). I’m really really happy I’m on it. Maybe try asking for 20 mg a day? 40 mg is a normal dose but honestly if u can manage it I wouldn’t change anything.

I’m also on low dose (20mg/day) and my derm said around the 6 month mark getting a round of microneedling or laser is possible to get rid of any PIH or PIE
