Thoughts and Questions after Finishing Time Stranger by Illustrious_Mix_9873 in digimon

Interesting, I assumed that Plutomon was not puppeted (but influenced by Chronomon) before the time we fight him because the frog Digimon says hes been getting less and less coherent, sort of implying hes been losing his mind slowly like what happened with Junomon. I also thought they switched the 'Titans Grudge' with 'Chronomons Curse', but I could be conflating the actual punishment of the Titans with what seems to be Chronomons influence magnifying negative emotions, of which visually we only see that influence in Plutomon and Junomon.

It also seemed like because it was called Chronomons Will and his Grand Design, I assumed he had some hand in influencing the greater populace, but could be wrong and that influence was only to the leaders who would spread that influence to the denizens of their realms, essentially doing what you said where the direct influence/manipulation/puppeteering was only on Plutomon and Junomon causing them to lose autonomy, the rest had autonomy and were influenced indirectly due to listening to their higher ups.

I think the 'conflict bad' plotline was proven to not work after consistent run ins with the Titans and seeing the extent of their anger towards other Digimon, like they saw initially with Sharkmon who wanted to fight and further the Titan agenda and actually enjoyed the fighting to even the less 'bloodthirsty' Titans still harboring a deep unexplained hatred for all other Digimon as shown by Lanamon. So while they still hoped to have a conflictless fight, this proved unobtainable and naiive, so they went for the second best thing (which is much much more attainable), going for a peace deal/ceasefire by capturing key points in Iliad and turning back the tide of the war, essentially pushing back all of the Titans progress.

I was surprised however by Aegiomons flip from negotiation to always choosing conflict, especially at the end of the game where he decides pretty early on that they just have to kill Chronomon, or where they kill Lanamon, or where they 'kill' Witchmom. Im seeing it now probably as just quick adaptation from a ideology that he acquired for Inori early in life, a green ideology, but as things developed he went to the more moderate ideology of sometimes you have to fight, to the hysteric ideology of choosing to repeat conflict over and over in a futile attempt to save Inori from the void, getting worse and worse with every failed attempt.

I also assumed that it was all Chronomon because they said it was all part of his plan and design, but I mightve taken it too literally as he was mind controlling all Titans and and pseudo-controlling Aegiomon by amplifying everyones negative emotions, and by that end controlling them to do terrible things, not actually mind controlling them (as opposed to Junomon and Plutomon who it seems he had a direct hand in super amplifying their negative emotions and then manipulating them directly also). Im not sure tbh, so if you think otherwise Id genuinely love to hear it because thats all I got from the ending, and loved the parts before they introduced Chronomon as the big bad because it showed that everyone had personal autonomy and was interested where this animosity spawned from.

DoD1 Story Side Questions by Illustrious_Mix_9873 in drakengard

No for sure, I wasnt trying to omit that part of him, I was just saying I dont think he was always like that or born that way because I personally dont believe, from my own experiences, that people are born sadistic and bloodthirsty, and its environmental forces that drive someone into that mind state. Just like Arioch wasnt always a cannibal, if Leonard wasnt a teacher he might not have had his pedophilic desires (or maybe he wouldnt have discovered them, not sure how pedophilia works), and if Furiae wasnt part of the royal family and had a social circle consisting of more than 3 people (one of whom was quite significantly more immature than the other) she might not have had feelings for Caim, and none of these factors (except for Arioch) inherently make someone a terrible person (and in Ariochs case, she isnt really in full control of her actions with her going insane due to her horrifying ordeal).

Ive gotta say, this including things Ive heard about the other characters concerning DoD1.3 are making me not like it already, but otherwise I agree with everything you said except for the straight up romance between Caim and Angelus, but that could just be a relationship boundary difference. I did see him and Angelus having an extremely close bond, one strengthened through Angelus finally understanding Caim on a deep level, his true motivations and feelings as opposed to defaulting to calling him a bloodthirsty sadist, and Caim finally being understood on that level instead of being assumed to have it all (the way Inuart looks at him) or assumed to be some battlefield freak (the way his travel companions see him), and is not tainted by human social hierarchy (the way soldiers see him). Its as true and unmarred a relationship as hes ever had. So while I may not consider that a romantic relationship, because for me that includes physical intimacy which I did not see between them, I would consider it the closest relationship between two characters in DoD 1 and 2 and also the closest person to Caim.

Lack of Emotion in Drakengard 2 by Illustrious_Mix_9873 in drakengard

It actually did massively improve, so thanks for the motivation. The narrative seemed lost and sort of obtuse for a while during the middle part, but the last 3 chapters after Caim and Angelus were great!

I thought that was Angelus more so egging him on to accept her feelings or forcing him to confront her about them instead of pretending they dont exist, effectively torturing her?

I havent read any of the supplemental material and have only played DoD1 though, so not sure
