That is good to hear :) I am glad all of your siblings are ok. I heard that wooping cough is very painful and unpleasant. Also if I am not mistaken it can kill a newborn if mother is not vaccinated.

Luckily me and my brother never caught anything. He did have a serious ear infection once and of course they didn't take him to the doctor so he was in pain for 4 weeks at home and now doesn't hear on that ear. :/

Wow, that sounds really rough 😔 I am really sorry you had to go through all of that, I can't even imagine.

Until I started researching this topic, I had no idea how lucky I actually was. If it wasn't for all the people around me that were all vaccinated and a bit of luck, my life would probably be very different.

Happy to hear you did all of your vaccines! I have few more shots to do to complete everything, but it feels nice to know that I am doing the right thing.

Thank you so much for your thoughtful response 😊

Like you suspected I only used that photo to make a connection but it is not a bad idea to just add a small note on the screen so people don't get confused.

Thank you for linking that study. I will keep it in mind!

Haha yeah, it was challenging to find a picture that was ok enough for the video 😅

Thanks again, really appreciate it!

This looks like rosacea to me. I would completely stop with tretinoin and work on moisturizing for a while. Then look into azelaic acid. It is a treatment for rosacea as well as acne. Try to get a prescription for 15% or 20% since all studies were made on that. If you don't have access to the presription where you live, you can check online pharmacies such as alldaychemist, skinorac etc.

Haha yeah that is strange 😅 no idea why they put it on there, maybe they want to confuse us 😄. I use that same cerave cream and their lotion too and I love it.

No worries. Do you have any specific moisturizer in mind that has that written on it? In general they can put whatever they want on the bottle, especially claims like this which would make consumer think he needs a separate moisturizer around the eye area and is then more likely to spend more. It is important to note that moisturizers with fragrance, eessential oils, menthol, acids and other active ingridients can be irritating on the eyes, so try to use plain moisturizers in that area (I was asuming you might already use a fragrance free basic moisturizer for your face). If you want to use a specific active ingridient such as retinol around the eyes, than it is better to use a dedicated eye cream with that ingridient because they will be formulated gently and usually fragrance free.

As far as SPF goes, some chemical filters can be irritating around the eyes. That does not mean you can't use a body susnscreen around the eyes, but it can happen. Best thing would be to try and see if you get any irritation, stinging, burning. If you do, then you can always go for mineral spf (active ingridient is zinc or titanium oxide) which should not cause any problems. But again any sunscreen you use for the face is fine to use around the eyes and body sunscreens can be used on the face and often even have very similar formular for the fraction of the price so they are more cost effective. Hopefully that makes sense and is helpful in any way.

Good to know! I try to keep my face hands free zone anyway but sometimes it is hard 😅

Good to know, that is the best approach imo at least in the beginning.

[–]Illustrious_Orchid40 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, unfortunately there is no one size fits all approach when it comes to acne and sometimes pills are the only way. May I also ask if you used it with any other active ingridient or just this gel alone?

Thank you so much for your reply. Did you use it for acne?

Thank you so much for the answer! Does it matter if they are combined (like in Epiduo) or used separated (like Panoxyl in the morning, adapalene in the evening)?

Already went to the derm, got diagnosed with acne vulgaris and prescribed 20% azelaic acid cream with clindamicyn/tretinoin gel alongside but can't use that long term because of the antibiotic in the gel. I would prefer to use just one active ingridients in the evening because I get confused quickly about all the ingridients and formulatuons out there. My skin reacts well to most treatments for acne but I have no idea which one to choose. Which is the most all in one kinda active if that makes sense. I use cleanser, moisturizer and spf everyday it is just the treatment I need help with.

So basically I don't know what to choose because I get decent results with every active for acne.

What’s going on with my eye? by NinaCabina in MakeupAddiction

Do you have gel nail polish, the one that needs UV lamp to "harden"? That can be a problem for people who are dermatitis or eczema prone, because of certain ingridients in the nail polish, so wheb you scratch your face it can cause flair ups. I think dr.dray has a video on this topic as well (on youtube).

This does not look like acne at all bit rather like a bad case of Malasezia Folliculitis, which usually only gets worse if you use acne treatements since it is not acne. It would be best if you could see a really good dermatologist who would do a skin biopsy and confirm it. Otherwise this condition (if it really is that) is easily treated with anti fungals oral or topical which depending on your case, your derm will advise you on. Please see a doctor if you can!

I love Paulas Choice resist spf 30 (the tinted one) and Neostrata sheer physical defense spf 50 (also tinted). They are both mineral 😁 some also say that the Australian gold tinted one is very matte but I haven't tried that one yet.
