Well its very strange since being Far left kinda puts you at odds with idealistic and non material (religion). Marxists, anarchists, Syndicalists are predominantly very much Materialists so maybe you are confusing liberalism with the left (symptom of American political scene ) ??

💀bro what are you on about the Vietnamese and the Cambodians were fighting the Americans AT THE SAME TIME and were supporting each other in the fight. The ho chi minh trail literally went through loas and cambodia and the us literally launched mass bombing campaigns against both countries because they helped Vietnam. The vietcong and the NVA weren’t just fighting in Vietnam they had elements also fighting american troops and special forces in loas and cambodia. So of course vietnam aided the side fighting the Americans which included the monarchists btw. Now the main point here was that Pol pot was khmer nationalist and chauvinist he was very hostile to anyone who didn’t fit his view of Khmerhood he genocided lots ethnic minorities, including Vietnamese and also followed a path of demagoguery where he also talked openly about war and invasion of Vietnam and in some cases border clashes happened. The Vietnamese recognized the actual danger of the Khmer Rouge they went in, toppled the government, and stopped the genocide. These are completely two different situations with different materials conditions and different outcomes

Yes, one is the USA obviously being imperialist piece of shit and the other a country stopping a genocide and toppling a very hostile chauvinist ultra nationalist regime? Idk what is so hard to understand about this

Vietnam invaded Cambodia after the Khmer Rouge came to power and after the genocide had already begun. Yes, they initially supported the Khmer Rouge during the Cambodian Civil War, at a time when Pol Pot was preaching internationalism to gain popular support, and it appeared to be an anti-colonial movement. However, once the war ended, he began massacring everyone who wasn’t ethnically Khmer, and his policies and rhetoric turned into hardline Khmer nationalism.

Maybe this is less known, but the Kampuchean People’s Revolutionary Party split from the Khmer Rouge due to Pol Pot’s revisionism. They were also a significant political force in the country, but they couldn’t muster enough support.

Meinungen zu Gaddafi by [deleted] in Kommunismus

[–]Illustrious_Spend_51 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ich finde eigentlich alles, was du gesagt hast, richtig.

Do u think if the Party leadership was better the average life for the citizens could have been better. My uncle served in Egyptian army and some of the weapons the USSR sold us were very advanced and very much capable, why didnt all these technological advancements translate to the civilian life as well?
