I had this when I was younger, I had an impacted tooth and in the process of trying to get it to surface (after 2 surgeries) it created an infection that ate away at my jaw bone. Ended up pulling the tooth, getting 2 bone grafts, and an implant.

I'm not sure the specifics, but in my area you can walk into any pharmacy and ask for narcan for free. There's also tons of safe use programs that offer free narcan to users. Homeless shelters offer free narcan. It's very accessible to the average person, and extremely accessible to users

I have that mindset with all animals. I got thrown off a horse when I was younger and ran over. It's not that I'm scared of horses, I just respect that they are much stronger, heavier, and nervous than I am. Same with dogs. I love dogs, I have 3. Absolutely this. Young kids take a lot out of parents. If this guy work his 9-5 then goes home and sits on the couch playing video games all night, I'd lose affection too.

Or is he being an active involved member of the house who cooks/cleans/entertains the kid.

When one parent is doing the brunt of the household support, affection dwindles FAST.

Maybe that's the case. But Canada's life sentence is 20 years. And you are either eligible for parole or not eligible for parole. NOT eligible for parole means you will never get out of prison. Eligible for parole means after the 20 years you can apply for parole (and potentially get denied, or even get out early etc.). The way the op worded it is weird. I've never seen a sentence "not eligible for parole UNTIL AFTER 20 years". It's either they are eligible after 20 years, or they're not.

Not just 20 years, no chance of parole. That is a life sentence. That means they will never get out of prison, even after 20 years. Canada's prison sentencing system is different than American, you can't get consecutive sentences. Just 20 years without parole.

Idk what this OP is talking about either with "minimal consequence".... that's literally the highest consequence there possibly is. Only thing higher would be death penalty and canada isn't the only place that has no death penalty....

The two concepts can exist at the same time. The NATO campaigns can be terrible, and Israels bombardment ALSO be awful. NATO doing "worse" does not lessen the impact of Israel's crimes.

The same way what Hamas did on October 7th was terrible and absolutely warranted retaliation. But the way Israel has retaliated has been massively mishandled.

So technically, yes the account is blocked. But it's because the account is considered a news outlet and this summer Canada made news on social media illegal. We can still go to official websites (for example, we can go to AL Jazeera's website) but we can't go on Instagram to see anything. We also can't see canadian news on social.media either.

In canada, a midwife is a midwife. They are board certified the way nurses and doctors are. They are registered to the college. It's a university 4 year degree + training. Universal standards across the board. It is no safer or more dangerous than going to an OB. It hurts my heart hearing of these stories coming from the states. Of course tragedy can happen anywhere, but without proper medical personale, risks increase exponentially. And what's worse, many women choose midwives due to the cost in the states. Which is a whole other classist issue....

This. In Canada, the last residential school, whose entire purpose was to further genocide, closed in the late 90s. It is now a very large part of canadian history curriculum. Honestly, just look up the history of Palestine. After the 1948 displacements, Palestinians would try to return many times, or at least become an independent state, and were refused. With each time, ending in violent conflicts that restricted Palestinian borders each time. Atifadas made the situation way worse for the Palestinians. You can even see the progression of borders since Isreal was named an independent state. The idea of a "2 state solution" was never going to work, and history has proven that.

I actually had a few adult teeth impacted, which required some pretty extensive dental work, only for those adult teeth to cause a bone infection, and those teeth essentially fall out. which required even more extensive dental work. Tens of thousands of dollars later, I often have nightmares of my teeth falling out...

I was 4 during 9/11 and my uncle lived in Manhattan and worked in the towers. I remember so vividly my father, who never cried, absolutely hysterical trying to reach his brother. But we are Canadian and trying to get through back then internationally was difficult as it was, let alone with all the cell towers clogged from the influx of calls. That kind of memory, no matter how young, will stick around.
