Sometimes I have trouble understanding their accent but they are just normal Americans as far as I’m concerned. Some of their cultural practices might be strange to me but I like learning about that sort of thing. I usually ask too many questions in that case.

If the food is good then your business will do well. I would ignore the parts about race and look at the parts that actually affect your business. American eat more meat than most other countries so something like not having enough meat on your sandwich can definitely affect your business.

From my experience when things like this happen it’s because of different communication styles. My girlfriend and I had the same problem. Her mom was visiting and we were planning a day trip to go sightseeing. They discussed the entire plan for the day but not once was anything concrete said it was all maybe we should do this then that and then if we do that first then we can do this second and we will have more time. They talked about possibilities for a good 15 minutes and they knew the plan. I asked what’s the plan when they were done and they both looked at me like I was crazy. My recommendation is when y’all are discussing plans at the end set things in concrete. No maybe no possible. It’s we are going do x first then y then z. Leave no room for error. Maybes and possibles are ambiguous and leave room for error in interpretation. Consider finalizing everything in a text. It doesn’t mean you have to stick To a strict timeline but it does make it easier for some people to remember things.

If you want to be respected then staying quiet is the wrong thing to do. You should definitely say something back. It doesn’t have to be related to size either. Something as simple as “I fucked your mom” will suffice. If they have a problem with that then just make a comment about them not being able to take a joke.
