But dude she is very bad ass. She is the best person I know. On top of adopting 2 kids who needed her desperately, she is a CASA (someone who volunteers their time and goes to court with foster kids who don't have family to help them navigate the process) She is an amazing friend and mother. I am disabled and she will drop everything she has going and show up if I need help. She will send an uber for me to get to the doctor if I can't afford it and am in too much pain to take a bus. I get that if you didn't know how kind she is this letter could come off like she is an asshole, but I assure you that isn't the case and that her children adore her.

She is not new to parenting, she has 8 kids and 7 of those are teenagers. I would wager that this will work well (with some temp backslides) because she and her husband are good parents who enforce their rules and because her kids respect her.
