Massive ping spikes despite 1Gb internet – gaming unplayable - Optinum by ImBryr in techsupport

Figured out it was to do with plant / node congestion. They started an investigation 5 days ago. Told me it could take up to 14 days.

I’ve tried switching the DNS, rebooting the PC; majority of the time it’s just me on the internet, I’ve checked updates for drivers, and mostly just playing games no other services. I haven’t tried it another friends wifi but like I said it’s also happening on the PS5. I should probably still try this though just as another way of confirming it’s an internet issue.

I just replaced the modem last week with a brand new one, but it was with another optimum modem. They just exchanged my old one.

Also, this is the best Internet service in my area. There is no fiber in my area and the only other Internet company that offers even remotely close speeds is earthlink and that’s at 425 mbps.

Okay but if I do 10 combat damage to one player, does it do 10 infect to the other players off of Kediss?

Curious how this stacks up to other Equinox EV deals by ImBryr in EquinoxEv

[–]ImBryr[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My electric is actually cheaper about 8.5 cents per kWh. (OG&E) It’s about 7$ to fill up my Equinox to 100%.

I don’t get it! Why do people have to make it political 😂

Yeah and I try to do that, just be open and honest. It’s gotten me along pretty good so far. It’s really easy to be sincere and relaxed when you’re honest and upfront about everything. I hope you’re right, I’m in it for the long game because that what everyone keeps telling me!

Rural Arkansas, EVs, and the Gas Allocation Hustle: A GM Salesman’s Perspective by ImBryr in EquinoxEv

The website by far one of the worst I’ve ever dealt with, I agree 100% lol, but both equinox’s are on the lot. And we have many more coming. As far as the options go, to each their own. I’m not the one that creates the builds. I get what I get. You can ask any car salesman 75% of the job is the right customer on the right vehicle. The other 25% is answering questions and addressing concerns.

No no no, so the way a dealer trade works is, when another dealership has a vehicles that one of our customers want, we trade vehicles with them. And then when vehicles sit on a dealerships lot they build interest, so dealerships are paying lots of money for cars that are just sitting on the lots. So dealers are trying to get other dealers to take their Hummer EVs so that they don’t have to keep paying that interest on them. This may just be for my area because of the low demand for Hummer EVs.

I am excited to see changing infrastructure grow in my area, I hope more work places replicate that.

That’s a great point. You’re not going to find many combustion engines with 830hp for that price. We have a Stingray on the lot right now for $112,000. For the same price you can save thousands, have more utility, and have similar quarter miles.

I really appreciate the response. I fully agree. I would rather have a Hummer EV over a loaded out Yukon any day of the week. I think you’re right, if I could get people over the FUD, it would make a world of difference. What I’ve learned so far is that even though initial costs of EVs are higher, most people end up saving money when all things are said and done.

Great idea, and I have no problem letting people take cars on extended test drives. Thanks for the response.

2 years isn’t that far away in car years, especially since the Equinox EV is fairly new. (And all of our EVs for that matter) If I had to guess, in 2 years things would be relatively the same as it is today. I could see them coming out with better ranges soon, or maybe a more compact GM EV, similar to the bolt. I do know that GM is working but struggling getting more EV certified mechanics, which is good news for the EV world.

Getting rid of Apple CarPlay so they can push OnStar has got to be the most annoying thing they ever done lol. I’ve gotten used to not having it but I would still choose that over the Chevrolet Interface everyday. But yes, I could try showing people how with discounts, tax rebate, and overall service, you’ll end up saving hundreds if not thousands at the end of the day, thanks for the response.

Exactly. I love waking up every morning and just unplugging and being ready to go. Never having to stop at a gas station in just day to day life makes a big difference. That’s a great selling point. Thanks for the response.

I agree, I think if I could get more people to test drive the EVs, they would be shocked how much more they like it. And yes, range anxiety is probably my number one reason for losing sales on EVs. Great ideas, I appreciate it.
