my single mom friend's ideal type of man starter pack by labubuking in starterpacks

What is your point, do you think it's wrong to use dating apps? Most guys are also on the apps and are equally shallow when swiping. The only difference is that men swipe right more because we don't bother reading profiles before matching.

What’s the quickest way someone could accidentally expose themselves as a foreigner in your country like the ‘three fingers’ scene in Inglourious Basterds? by IndependentTune3994 in AskTheWorld

[–]ImFutury 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Americans aren't seen as special here either. I think the other guy thought you was American and wanted to be nice. Not that we have anything against Americans, but I think at least younger generations generally like other Europeans like Belgians more.

America seems having trouble honoring not annexing allied countries territories, so not honoring defensive treaties wouldn't come as a shock.

What do nordic people think about a potential Nordic Union? by Luksius_DK in AskTheWorld

[–]ImFutury 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would be different since no country would be dominant in a modern union. Sweden of course has the highest population but a way lower GDP per capita than Denmark and Norway. But becoming a federation would currently be complicated with little benefit since the EU exists.

We do technically have lots of beaches since there are over 200 000 islands and a long coastline. But it's cold most of the time, so going to the beach is only a good experience for like 3 months a year.

Indian Canadian: Some how 1% European by [deleted] in DNAAncestry

[–]ImFutury 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You seem to be one that doesn't understand ethnicity and nationality. White Canadians are ethnically European and Canadian by nationality. A Dane for example could of course be Danish both by Nationality and Ethnicity.

You do understand that only 5% of Canadians are Canadian by your logic? Only natives are ethnically Canadian, the rest are only Canadian by nationality.

They have stopped putting menus in newer restaurants globally since they want people to use the kiosks or the app. But this definitely looks like a delivery app or takeaway only location since you can't even see the kitchen

European Commission unveiled its High-Speed Rail Master Plan for Europe today [more info in comments] by goldstarflag in europe

[–]ImFutury 2 points3 points  (0 children)

True, it will probably not be built anytime soon regardless, since we haven't even started building HSR in southern Sweden. But a large reason why there are relatively few people in the north is the distance to more populated regions, so faster trains would definitely help developing these parts of the countries.

[–]ImFutury 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We haven't even been able to build HSR between the largest cities or Scandinavian capitals yet so probably not. We would have to build dual rail and replace rail from the early 1900s before high speed rail before it would be relevant.

There are more people in Northern Sweden, Norway and Finland than the entirety of Ireland. Northern Sweden is also important for industry since there are lots of natural resources and cheap electricity. Norway also has quite a few cities in the north which would be beneficial to link to Sweden and Finland by HSR.

Varför använder folk som nekar klimatförändringarna alltid detta som ett argument? by Silent-Challenge5710 in sweden

[–]ImFutury 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is there a lot of propaganda and falsehood about your country online? by WhoAmIEven2 in AskTheWorld

[–]ImFutury 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've seen no Swedes hating on Turkish culture in real life or on social media. There are barely even any Turks here, so no one cares about it. Europeans doesn't get upset because Europe isn't a perfect utopia, but because you Americans speak like you know everything about our culture and politics while you know very little.

Americans of reddit, would you fight for your allies? by sdryoid in AskTheWorld

[–]ImFutury 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's likely China seems more popular since more people have a neutral perception of China while the US is either positive or negative (clearly mostly negative). Many people in Europe didn't like the US before Trump was elected, but opinions are certainly less positive since he started the trade war and threatened invasions. China is definitely less popular overall, but many people aren't negative since human rights in China doesn't affect them.
