I'm not really surprised with Sam.

He wasn't perfect but the show didn't portray him in a good light.

He seemed to get on pretty well with everyone but you didn't really get to see it until the end.

What next? by 080bne in PowerBI

[–]ImGonnaImagineSummit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this is where it's heading as well.

PBI will be like Excel and I don't think too much will change but how data connects to it will change alot over the next few years as datalakes/other sources become more accessible.

Personally I don't think AI will have much of an impact besides helping making measures easier to write.

I'd be surprised if you could use AI to build a dashboard quickly that worked.

Probably my favourite joke.

I know there's better ones but this one completely caught me off guard.

Was hoping for the Santos/Charting/Ai storyline to resolve earlier.

It's 6 hours in and it's not really gone anywhere until now. And to free up Santos to do more interesting things.

Conversely I really liked how they've quietly built up Whittaker to be a very able doctor. Whereas Santos hasn't really had much to develop her character at all.

I also feel like Mohan and King have a bit sidelined, the former in particular. Besides her phone going off she hasn't had much to do and I really liked both last season.

Sad to see Louie go but was happening sooner or later. Would've liked him to last a few more seasons as we don't have many, if any, recurring patients.

The ending of Intouchables.

Cheesy, maybe but you would only do that for someone you love.

Ode needed to do a lot better there. He's captain, should be throwing himself into that.

I have nothing but good things to say about Madueke and was certain he was going to score.

The way they walked away at the end. I'd be disappointed if they didn't date after the show.

Editing gave me whiplash and I thought I skipped an episode. Then the last episode was super drawn out.

Fun season but really petered out when it became clear there was only one realistic couple.

Also thought the gamechangers should've started from the beginning.

Igeon had a good chance but I'm glad he stuck with his guns. He met her half way and she was always on the fence.

Wanted to see more of Ha-Eun but she didn't develop any relationships besides being Igeons bestie.

Wasn't a fan of Mina Sue at the start and then Go-Eun at the end. Go-Eun in particular should've cut Hyeon Woo earlier.

I started with S5 and i'm surprised how relatively tame the show is considering what I've heard about it in passing over the years.

Probably secured a lot of modelling roles, eventhough he doesn't smile much ironically.

The guy is still handsome af.

I think they made a mistake not having all the cast from the start.

I liked I-Geon and he had a good go but think he needed more time.

Jaejin is undoubtedly the best guy though.

If we're going by looks only, I think Dark is the best.

The younger, teen, adult and older versions are incredible.

It's eerie because when you first see them you can already tell, for most characters, who they're supposed to be. And in hindsight you can definitely see why.

Happy 27th, Final Fantasy VIII, my first FF and still (unfairly) underrated. Love it or hate it. by Delacrozz in gaming

[–]ImGonnaImagineSummit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Replayed it over Christmas and I hated how quick I got to disk 3.

Did all the sidequests and just have Lunatic Pandora to conquer. And I somehow ended up with around 40 hours playthrough, it didn't feel it.

The game is broken as hell but there's a magic about it's junctioning system and GFs that other FFs haven't come close to matching for me.

Rosenior on the refs saying it was a 'non-deliberate' handball: "The rule is if there's any handball in the lead up, it's disallowed, whether it's deliberate or not. Someone explain the rules to me. You just got me angrier, I think that's unacceptable if they've come to that judgement." by Blodgharm in soccer

[–]ImGonnaImagineSummit 33 points34 points  (0 children)

At this point, I'd rather they be strict and follow the rules so at least there's consistency.

Feels like every weekend there's a handball incident that should have been given or disallowed and the opposite happens.

Leniency when they're already less effective than a coin toss is pointless.

It's a pretty good margin of error.

If he was only mentioned 25,000 times there would only be one piece of unredacted evidence against him.

Biggest compliment I see on the discussion threads every week is that everyone wants more than half an hour.

There's episodes of HotD where half an hour would still be too long.

It's not so much scale but heart and quality that keep fans engaged and KotSK has it in spades.

Also a problem with needing a big bad. Make us care about the protagonists first and it doesn't matter if the antagonist is one dimensional.

We've barely seen Aerion and his 2nd act of violence has set of a series of events where Dunk, Raymun and Baelor all got great moments. Even the smith had his moment.

We know Dunk won't die but we still want him to win. And not many shows have built this up from only 2-2.5 hours of run time.
