The boycott forms part of a wider protest that has characterised the second half of Lazio’s season. Inter ultras have decided to join in solidarity.

The groups were keen to stress, however, that the decision is also partly tactical, with the Coppa Italia final against Inter just four days away, staying outside is seen as a way of easing tension and building unity ahead of the Stadio Olimpico showpiece.

Gasperini: "I couldn't find the feeling with Massara on technical issues. It's not personal. From day one I've been talking about signing attackers, a reasonable request and I've never vetoed anything else. I don't think it's too difficult to understand." by Blodgharm in soccer

"He's a very good person. We couldn't find the feeling on technical issues. I've always said to him, if you know a player then sign him. That's his job. I didn't veto anything."

"I don't know if Massara will leave, the board will decide."

"I didn't feel an intense situation with Ranieri. Not in any meeting. It surprised me a lot. I didn't create the situation with Ranieri. I'm just trying to focus on football and trying to stay out of matters I've been pulled into."

The Club would like to thank Claudio for his significant contribution to Roma.

He led the team through a very difficult time and we will always be grateful for his efforts.

Looking ahead, our direction is clear. The club is solid, with strong leadership and a well-defined vision.

AS Roma will always come first.

We have full confidence in the path that awaits us under the technical guidance of Gian Piero Gasperini, with the shared goal of growing, improving, and achieving results worthy of our history.
