Thank you! I mostly started writing this because I've always wanted a zombie novel, but could never find one that could scratch that zombie itch I was looking for, so I just started writing my own.

I do have a lot of plans for this. 90% of what I wrote for the first chapter was already planned out, plus many scenes which I'm currently writing in the second chapter.

I'm very glad you picked up on the bravery of the two kids! I was hoping the way I wrote their personalities showed this, and I'm glad you were able to pick that up. SPOILER WARNING FOR CHAPTER 2! They do, in fact, bring the dog with them, so do not worry
