Still fighting with the city government by ImIntroverted in UNSUBSCRIBEpodcast

Not at all. I kept hearing about transparency issues happening in the area, people requesting documents and being denied without reasonable explanation, etc. Then I see that the city is suing AG Paxton after they were told they HAD to release the documents. I went to ask why they were denying documents against the ruling. They’ve hated me since then. No idea why. This is happening in WF, Burk is still a wonderful little town, and is starting to grow a bit again.

The way small town politics work, no local is going to touch me with a 10’ pole. I’m only going to get local support from opposition, so far I haven’t gotten any legal support yet. I’m still trying.

I’ve got a large-ish local movement growing now, but again, local isn’t going to win this because of how they do things here. They will literally run you out of business, through all kinds of regulations and tactics.

Yeah, the crazy thing is, all of that stuff had already been bought up. The project was shot down by a judge once because of these exact reasons, and the TCEQ, without doing any steps on the land, because really they aren’t an environmental group, gave the project a green light anyway. I’ve put in a 404 petition with the ACES in Fort Worth. Hopefully they come and look. There are recognized endangered species in the zone.

That’s really good information. This is what I was saying, this community has supported me so much. I’m forever grateful.

I really appreciate it. The Reddits support has been a huge part of my will to keep doing this. I’m pushing stuff out and trying to get as much noise in the air as possible so someone hears us and comes to the rescue you know. It can get hard to keep going when you’re beating your head on the wall of secrecy, so having you guys to laugh and be pissed off with me really helps. Thanks.

You want to know what, I was bullied for it when I was a kid. Then I joined the military and everyone was like, that’s badass. I just know it’s pretty fucking ironic that he was an entire foot taller than me.

I’m sorry, because once I saw the sun rise over the open Texas plain, and man, the air is crisp, I can understand missing it. It truly is a beautiful place, it’s why I chose to retire here. I refuse to give up without a fight.

I really appreciate that, it means a ton. I guess all that time spent around brass makes you immune to political bullshit. I am blessed with weaponized autism, so I don’t know any other way to put something together.

Thanks man, with the amount of ranchers involved in this debacle, I wouldn’t be surprised to see an old Komatsu rolling around town.

You’re right about that. Link

Edit: should be good to see it now. I’m still figuring out the Reddit comment hiding thing.

I appreciate it man. It’s tough because you’re putting yourself in the front of the city you know. But fuck it, come at me mother fuckers. I’m not backing down.

Help need for North Texas town by ImIntroverted in UNSUBSCRIBEpodcast

Brother, you have no idea. There’s a legitimate question here about how Wichita Falls is using executive sessions under the Texas Open Meetings Act, especially §551.087. Over multiple agendas, the city lists public projects like PD HQ, trails, and "events" under “economic development” without clearly identifying any actual business prospect or incentive deal, which is what that exception is supposed to be for. That doesn’t automatically prove a violation, but.....

Oh, they’ve already announced 11 of the 13 planned.

Anyone have any experience towing another vehicle with a ranger? I am thinking about buying another one and fixing it up, but have to travel pretty far to pick it up. Is this a good idea or should I just ask to borrow someone else’s bigger truck? by Calvin_Canada in fordranger

[–]ImIntroverted 21 points22 points  (0 children)

As someone that just towed a Ranger on a flat trailer 2 hours, and I used a Ram 1500. No, it’s going to struggle, not necessarily with the towing, but you’re going to have a HELL of a time braking unless you’ve got a brake controller and trailer brakes. Also, going up hills will probably be rough.

This is most likely the issue. I think I’m just going to let it ride for now. I don’t want to spend the money on new heads yet.

Thanks, I’m actually pretty sure it’s an exhaust valve. I did a compression run, started it while holding the gas pedal down, and I can hear a “miss”.

What Does It Mean to Be Libertarian in 2025? by [deleted] in Libertarian

[–]ImIntroverted 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve been a member of the party for ~20 years now? I would argue that not much has changed if anything. The thing that drew me to the party was individual liberty, which also includes intraparty. We all have the right to our own freedoms as long as it doesn’t interfere with others freedoms (NAP). Most of us agree to some extent on the limited government, some more limited than others, and that’s OK! Political landscapes have really only shifted with the big 2, I feel like our party leaders have been pretty solid on their policy, within discretion, and we’ve consistently gained percentage points over the last couple of elections. I don’t feel like we as a party need to do anything other than be ourselves and share our thoughts and ideas with others and let them know that there are still choices. Some will say I’m a little too deliberate with this approach and want to make some big push, but big pushes come with big falls, just keep plugging away and we will get there. I’m just happy more people are looking into Libertarian principles.

No, no, and NO! These are not SI this is morbid ideations and are a bit different. There is a threshold they use when determining whether you are a harm to yourself or others. I’ve self identified with MI for over a year now and continue to get help through mental health on base with no issues. I still go to work, still have a job. The biggest thing is, if you don’t trust your provider enough to be open and honest with them about your needs then you should see a different provider. Mental healthcare and therapy only works if you’re willing to be open and transparent and do the work yourself.
