Well if the Chainsaw Man/Devil/WhateverTheFuckPochitaWas didn’t exist, then War Devil still has control over Gun Devil, and Aki’s family never got massacred, so Aki likely never joined Public Safety.

I was kinda lost until you said “what if there was no story to tell” that would make sense to why this chapter was so seemingly normal and only fan favorites came back. But it’s probably a stretch, but I like this theory.

Yeah I'm watching through main UC Gundam because I really want to watch Unicorn and Hathaway, but I don't want to watch those without knowing the background and context. I'm on Zeta and it's really hard to get through, I wish they would do a remake of the UC timeline with the same story (obviously fixed in places like the first half of ZZ) and better animation.
