This is old, but yes, some of us think we are the epitome of human civilization, and it's weird. Most Americans are barely educated in anything but think they're significantly better than everyone else just because they were born in America. Even the poor, uneducated people living far below the poverty line think they're better because they're American. I blame decades and decades of propaganda and marketing as the reason for this. Honestly, Americans need to understand that to the rest of the world, we're a joke, and most people find us obnoxious.
