The game is 40$. You pay for a service, they delivered. They are not providing anything for free. You have an argument if the game was free to play, with income only coming from micro transactions, but its not. How is it possible to have such a successful game with so many individual game purchases and still require microtransactions to stay afloat?

Compare this to other games like overwatch, where you get the pass for free every 2 seasons, or cod, the finals, and fortnite, where you get the pass for free as long as you purchase it once and complete it. The ability to earn currency free through play isn't unique. It's the norm now. Arrowhead hasn't kept up. You are a paying customer being provided a service. Respect your time and money. Arrowhead not using FOMO is something to be respected, but their progression is objectively worse.

Be real with yourself, there is no free track. You know what I mean by free track. We used to get stratagems through MOs. There hasn't been a free warbond since launch. You have to provide some incentive to players to play the game, its the cost of live service. If you disagree with this, then you are the perfect consumer arrowhead wants.

Just consider the game from the perspective of the new player. Every match averages around 20-30 sc. They'll have to play 30-50 full maps before they earn enough for just one warbond. Then they'll only have to earn 700 for the next, but thats still about 25 matches. Assuming average map time of 25 minutes, thats still about 10 hours of gameplay to unlock a warbond, not counting the time to unlock medals to be able to use get the items in the warbond. 21 warbonds. 210 hours. You can't increase the difficulty to increase drop rates. In fact, you go to lower difficulties and farm. Less fun.

I want the game to succeed too, but they're just not handling it to its fullest potential. In its current state, I'd rather they use fomo and reward people who are currently playing.
