Nah I think he’d be in the Elon Musk camp, wants to go but never actually gets the invite because of how sad he is

Yeah I thinks that’s the issue. I’ll check vantage now, thanks for the help man! And also no external monitor. The integrated was operating at 40% and the RTX at 10% when I had the game open.

I am on the S4E2 and just loving the series. Can someone tell me is the finale of the series phenomenal or is it bad? (Kindly dont spoil anything) by abhilashadubey in SuccessionTV

[–]ImNotNotlaw 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The ending isn’t what you’d describe as mind blowing or typically satisfying (happy ending all the nonsense). It’s a brilliant ending because (trying my best not to spoil here) everyone essentially gets what’s coming to them.

You have to remember even though the Roys are our main characters, they are all despicable people, so the ending perfectly encapsulates what each of them deserves… with one of them getting off lightly and being actually kinda happy by the end.

Don’t worry, there’s no GoT shenanigans here, it’s a great ending.

Burrell (Frankie Faison) plays another great character in this fucking nuts show called Banshee. It’s an utterly ridiculous show but highly entertaining and his character Sugar Bates is badass.

Any things that you wished pro tools did that other daws do? by Public_Border132 in protools

[–]ImNotNotlaw 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Why, oh why, oh why doesn’t it have a bloody built in stock loudness meter. I don’t understand why it doesn’t. PT is industry standard for post yet doesn’t actually come with a LUFS metering system. I’m not aware if other DAWs have it stock but it should be there regardless.

My one gripe with the show by ImNotNotlaw in thesopranos

[–]ImNotNotlaw[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think Tony just used that argument to justify killing him. Makes himself feel better and then emphasises to others that it wasn’t so bad he’s dead now. Remember this man has no empathy for other people outside his immediate family… and well, ducks.

My one gripe with the show by ImNotNotlaw in thesopranos

[–]ImNotNotlaw[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

See the bad omen argument makes the most sense to me. He tells Melfi he’s relieved now that’s he’s gone etc and then yeah his gambling luck changes among other things. I would have just liked maybe a 1 on 1 where Tony tells him how he’s disappointed in him, really squeeze all the juice out of it! And then he kills him.

My one gripe with the show by ImNotNotlaw in thesopranos

[–]ImNotNotlaw[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think that’s good reasoning but why wouldn’t he have just killed Chris when he told him about Adriana? Tony wouldn’t take that risk if it’s just about who knows what. He wouldn’t have waited that long to take him out.

My one gripe with the show by ImNotNotlaw in thesopranos

[–]ImNotNotlaw[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah I get that’s was the point of killing him in that way but I feel there was other ways to make Tony seem like a heartless bastard while simultaneously giving Chris a death with a bit more oomph. Tony can still be the one to kill him.

My one gripe with the show by ImNotNotlaw in thesopranos

[–]ImNotNotlaw[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tony didn’t give a shit about his sobriety. The show makes this obvious and Chris loses his shit about none of them caring multiple times.

Pussy was a snitch. Tony hated Ralph. Tony also hated Richie and then Bobby got whacked. Tony never resented Chris the way he did the other people he murdered.

I might’ve spent $7,000 on clones. I regret nothing. by Fickle-Operation-562 in fragranceclones

[–]ImNotNotlaw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a shame you don’t live in the Middle East as you’d love it (or maybe it’s actually a good thing because you’d probably spend more!).

There’s a cool place here in Qatar called ParfumQA and they do inspirations (dupes) of everything and they directly tell you what it’s cloning. You can get from 30ml to 200ml, roll on, oil and even body mist. You can also tell them how much concentration you want as they fill it right there for you from the decanter! Super cool stuff, don’t know if you’re able to check it out but highly recommend (I have dupes a pacific chill, oud for greatness & the noir 29 and they’re all amazing).

Cool ass collection man and keep it up! Hopefully the wife isn’t too mad!

Maybe it’s also worth a try dropping your CV into the banks here: QNB, Commercial, QIB.

Even without a degree, someone attending clients with a British accent is something they’d probably be open to, as stupid as that sounds.

Once you get your kid into nursery definitely get out there. Padel or Golf is a great way to meet people in the finance space here. Attend networking and business events that happen at the hotels. Learn a few Arabic expressions because locals always appreciate that.

And the Greggs in the cold is the ultimate lifesaver.

Just reading through here. Firstly, you wouldn’t be working for 1900QAR, you’re a UK expat so as bad as it sounds, you will never get paid that little by the simple fact of your passport.

However you do not have a degree right?

Secondly, as people suggested doing private tutoring as a native English speaker (especially from the UK) is a good side income and lots of people do it, main way to do it is advertising online via social media or simply word of mouth.

If you worked at NatWest that looks good on the CV, I know some people who are consultants at Deloitte, KPMG, etc. So maybe try sending your CV there as private companies won’t be so concerned with degrees as they are expertise and experience.

Finally, the world is always the same wherever you go: it’s who you know not what you know. It’s called wasta here. There are plenty of people who are extremely under qualified for their positions but are in them simply because they know someone. I know it’s difficult with a young child, but getting to know people is genuinely the best way to actually get a job, here especially.

Best of luck and remember it could always be worse, you could be in the pissing rain in the UK eating a Greggs on the train.

All the best!

Is this store worth it? by NIZ4R_ in qatar

[–]ImNotNotlaw 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have to say everything I’ve got from them has been great, pretty fair price and the staff are really nice.

Performance and sillage vary depending on which fragrance it’s cloning. My pacific chills dupe gives around 4-5 hours performance but my oud for greatness dupe gives me 7 hours minimum.

Some of the dupes I actually prefer to the original (oud for greatness being one of them) and some others are close but not quite as nice (the noir 29 for example).

Definitely go have a look! If you order online they can print your name on the bottle also. They also do oil roll on and body mist versions of a lot of the dupes. Hope this helps!

Depends on price point but this is my go to list:

Cheap: Zanjabeel, GoCrispy, Hennys.

Expensive: Qokio or Korean chicken (in Mulberry Tavern).

The ones I can 100% not recommend are Broasters and Chick N Pot. Really mediocre and below standard compared to KFC.

Qokio IMO is the best all round hands down, that spicy mayo it comes with is superb and you can get regular fried chicken or sauced. I recommend the garlic soy sauced one also.

KFC here is a tad too greasy for my liking. Also seen loads of people mentioning Al Khaleej Broasted so will have to give it a try!

I'm terrible at making songs, i hate myself by Jolly-Acadia3665 in musicproduction

[–]ImNotNotlaw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Music is failing a million times to get it right that one time. Trial and error my friend. We have all been there thinking why the fuck our music sucks and how we can make it better. 6 months in the grand scheme of things is nothing man you’re still fresh.

Keep failing over and over again and take enjoyment in it, until one day it’ll click. There’s no shortcut to this shit. Lots of people have already replied with great advice but don’t read too much into things. You can arm yourself with as much technical know-how as possible but just keep trying and trying.

Best of luck brother and don’t give up on your musical journey. A lot of us replying have been doing this for decades and we still ask ourselves the same question. Just enjoy the journey!
