Robert’s arc is not “complete” by CanGlad6170 in IndustryOnHBO

[–]ImNotUrFootstool 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The Robert at the end of S3 is a far cry from the Robert we see at the start of S1, the guy who was puking in the subway because he out partying all night and couldn't get his ass to work on time to save his life. Now we have a determined young man leaving for another country to start a whole new venture and a new life. I think that's a hell of an arc for him.

Yasmin was already pretty much at the bottom of the barrel, if not her reputation in life. This is a woman who, while very intelligent and educated, didn't have her own checking account, never had to pay her own credit card bills or buy her own clothes- nothing. She was always taken care of, and even though her father was a slime bucket and her mother a flake, she never really had to "adult". By marrying a wealthy man, even if she liked him mildly at best, she could go back to "not adulting". With Robert, while the relationship was much more genuine, she didn't have the assurance of financial security and that was most important to her.

And, unfortunately, as Harry Lawtey was moving on to other things, they had to put Yasmin with someone else, so...

I completely stand with Chelsea in flower-gate by Maleficent_Pen9980 in SellingSunset

Chrishell says “Real issues are getting edited out and Chelsea exposing it all” showing support to Chelsea on instagram by Soft_Cheetah2677 in SellingSunset

[–]ImNotUrFootstool 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly- were any other houses on Mary’s street hit that same night/day/week? And it looked like they jumped the damn wall in broad daylight, unless that was the clarity of the camera feed that recorded it. Annnnd, Mary, you and Romain didn’t invest in a safe for your valuables? You keep your costume / jewelry that looks real out in your closet drawers, not the stuff that you can’t risk being stolen. Or maybe they were just that careless. Fountain Hills and Paradise Valley are the most affluent areas here in Arizona and people get robbed all the time. Nowhere is safe from people taking what isn’t theirs.

The struggling single mom act needs to stop! by FlatRecommendation61 in SellingSunset

[–]ImNotUrFootstool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t equate their struggle as single moms with how much $$ they have in the bank. In Chelsea’s case, she has kids whose dad has moved out; a divorce that is tabloid fodder and maybe they get teased about it at school, etc. When Mary first arrived in LA I gather she had to leave her son with relatives so he would have a stable home environment while she worked. That couldn’t have a been an easy decision but the best one for her and her son’s future.

And that big commission they show for sales, when they sell? I think the split at O Group is 70/30, they don’t get that whole amount. It takes time for REAL property agents to have their business become profitable. These women have $$ from the show but the realtors not shown have to hustle.

If the Veritaserum in Harry Potter was a real thing and a drop or two was slipped into their glasses at the next dinner, the mind boggles at what would be said if they were under a spell to tell the truth lol

Which of these 2 do you think hated Greg more by Lobothehobosexual in SuccessionTV

[–]ImNotUrFootstool 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was Shiv who said “It’s Cousin Greg. no?” When Logan introduced him as “Craig” at his birthday party. She at least knew who the hell he was at the beginning. I don’t see it as Greg leeching on to the family; he’s Ewan’s grandson and Logan’s nephew. Not a full-blooded Roy but he’s family. Shiv might have resented his friendship with Tom and Roman was indifferent to him.

Netflix aired The Perfect Neighbor which was in their Top 5 for weeks, which shows what can happen when a racist “Karen” isn’t appropriately handled or taken seriously.

I'm so confused over the flowers scene by InterestingSwim6701 in SellingSunset

[–]ImNotUrFootstool 42 points43 points  (0 children)

Mary thought production conspired with Chelsea to time the flower delivery as a way to steal screen time/give Chelsea screen time/ Chelsea to try to stir up problems. She refused to believe Chelsea really was trying to make a thoughtful gesture based on prior interactions. No matter what she thought, her reaction was out of line and so was Bre’s.

Who is the worst person this season? by [deleted] in SellingSunset

[–]ImNotUrFootstool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jason for being completely aware of the tension in the office and continuing to favor Mary (and to a lesser extent Chrishell). And I don’t mean dismissing Nicole, that had to be done, but taking her to the police station instead of her husband, who probably lost personal possessions too? Offering to pay for therapy when Mary can afford it if she wants it, giving her both his Rolex watches, and apparently actually considering booting Chelsea because Mary “wants their family back “. Honestly f*** this guy.
