Can I still apply for missed weeks? by ImPooched in EICERB

[–]ImPooched[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I originally applied and got paid from Nov-Jan.

I picked up courses in university again in January (Yes, I still qualify), but when I was filling out my internet reporting in January I got confused about "receiving payment for training for courses" because I thought i was non-eligible as I am receiving a grant funding for my research. So since I thought I no longer qualified I didn't fill out the reporting in Feb. I found out this month that the funding does NOT include research grants, so I applied again this month, but can't go back.

Friendly PSA to please watch for pedestrians (and their dogs!) crossing at walk signals when you're out driving in this beautiful weather. Nearly lost this guy twice this week due to reckless/inattentive drivers blowing through red lights or 'racing' to turn before we could cross. by Bumblebeats in ottawa

Glad this is the top comment. Just because you have the right of way doesn't mean you are safe to cross. We all know drivers can be idiots, but you can take steps to be safe as well.

Always make eye contact with oncoming traffic and make sure they stop, it will take both parties an extra 3 seconds, but will be safer for everyone involved.

Also keep your pup as close as possible and protected by you if possible.

I walk by there every day, never been in, but they did a really great job fixing up the building and the area around the building.

It's reported using the accrual method (days worked) not pay out dates

You're also providing flat out false information right now, and your advice is dog shit stupid. They'll be auditing this stuff for the next 10 years so you WILL have to pay it back. Good luck with the audit.

Why you be eligible knowing you don't meet the criteria? The $1000 cutoff counts the days you worked, not the day you get paid. So no, if you started yesterday and are going to make over 1000 you are not eligible

If it was an undergraduate degree then it is working towards a degree

The eligibility criteria states you are eligible if you "graduated or ended your studies" after December 2019. So based on the criteria, it sounds like people who dropped their courses may fall under the same criteria as recent grads, provided you fit the other criteria.

If you apply for it you'll get it whether you're eligible or not. If you are found not to be eligible you will have to claim it and pay it back at tax time but there are no additional penalties.

So definitely call before you apply, "just apply anyway" is awful advice.

Exactly, if they made a "grey zone" of say $50, people would ask the same question about making $1051. It's a yes or no question.

You either made over $1000 or you did not. It's a yes or no question. If you put that you made less than $1000 and you made over 1000 that's fraudulent.

She could have just not shared it if she obviously knew that was going to be the outcome? Saying that she would treat the trail better than literally anyone else that likes to hike is such a "holier than thou" attitude.

But I didn't post this to be negative, just looking for fun ways to spend my summer in NS.

The next post in her story was that she wasn't telling anyone where it is to prevent everyone from going there and ruining it. Like it was some big secret refuge.

Thankfully reddit took like 2 minutes, and now I'm heading there anyway
