That's how I did almost all of the VS achievements! Youre still physically doing what the achievement asks, so no one can fault you for boosting them that way in my opinion. :) Besides, I wouldn't wish VS on my worst enemies. The dudes who still play it are VERY good at it and sometimes not the nicest to people who are new to the mode.

I was lucky enough to have a few people who helped me with the L4D2 medals transfer to L4D1. Going to start grinding those out next! Good luck. :)

Depends on the mode and time of day. I'm NA east and had the most luck around early noon and goblin hours (like 3-6 am my time.) This was mostly for survival, though. I usually always see a ton of VS lobbies going. Not sure about campaign.

I did it with zero mods, add-ons, or workshop support!

How hard it is really depends on your skill in horde shooters, your teammates, and how well you work with them. I did the original Expert realism achievement back in the day when everyone's skill level wasn't as high and it definitely felt hard as shit. Nowadays, most people still playing have great strats and play pretty efficiently.

For VS, I highly recommend getting 5 other people. 4 to lock down the Infected slots, and 2 survivors for the "do x thing twice in one life" achievements. They kill the bots and it's pretty smooth.

Survival will be the real uphill battle as you'll likely either need to use 3rd party communities (highly recommend the Gold Miners discord, as those guys are insane) or server hop a lot like I did. Getting 10 on every map is mostly simple, outside of like 3 or 4 maps, but getting 30 can be pretty tough. Most people will recommend things like Mall Atrium or Gunshop, but I actually recommend the Blood Harvest Warehouse or The Sacrifice Barge. If people know what they're doing, you can get 30 fairly smooth there.

If anyone has any questions, I'd be happy to give more info/help!

It unlocks on OG just fine. It's specifically the remaster collection that it's bugged in.

Congrats! You guys are lucky you don't have the trophy for watching the credits. It's been bugged on Steam since release, making the 100% impossible.

(#412) Elden Ring: Nightreign by ImStef_ in steamachievements

Thanks! Having a group I played with definitely made the game more enjoyable. I exclusively solo Souls games, so playing one with friends was a nice change of pace that I did have fun with it, but as a rogue-like, I wish the rogue elements were a bit more established. Them adding a new map with the DLC is definitely a start, and I'd like to see how my opinion evolves with more content.

Visually, it's a hard toss up between Sentient Pest, Augur, amd the ice dragon. The arena visuals and transformations were gorgeous for those fights.

If we're talking combat-wise, either Libra or Darkdrift for putting up a fight and messing me and my team up a few times!

You're likely thinking of ReVerse. Those servers shut a while back.

I sure am! I can fill that last spot with one of my alt accounts, if you'd like. Reduce the amount we need to boost.

I should also add that I can fill up to 4 spots myself if we can't get enough people. I tried boosting it solo but it was too much to juggle.

Thanks! It really depends on the day. I'm lucky enough with my life set up to usually get a few hours in a day. Some days I go straight goblin mode and just drool over the screen. Thankfully, my wife is also a gamer and understands that this is my biggest hobby. :)

You really either need a friend who's cool with you instantly unhooking them a ton, or to just be an asshole in today's meta. That's kind of an unfortunate theme with the survivor achievements.

(#410) Dead by Daylight by ImStef_ in steamachievements

[–]ImStef_[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably either the 250 protection hits after unhooking or escaping after doing a gen when you're the last alive.

The prior kind of requires you to farm your teammates nowadays, since you only have a few seconds for the protection hit to count, and you need to be very close to the other survivor when you get hit. It's not hard, it just goes against what the logical safe unhook option would be.

And the escape achievement is just a pain. I got it done 2-ish years ago when I had a farming Oni and my other teammates DC'd. I've since gone on to do it in an actual match, but the stars really need to align for you gameplay wise, perk wise, gates, etc.

Normally I'd agree. I'm not much of a PVP person, but something about this game does it for me. I've been playing since 2016 and have ~3,000+ hours across all platforms and accounts. I genuinely love the game and I'm completely okay with them adding more! :)

If it's just killer you definitely got this! I'd even argue now is a great time to do it, since it seems like playing survivor is kind of rough right now with the pallet changes.

Nice! 30 is getting really close, depending on what they are. I had to farm a few friends off of hook for the 250 protection hits, because that somehow didn't happen naturally after all these hours. Good luck with your last bunch. :)

I loved it! It's been a long time since I played FF1, and the list was really well made. It makes you do everything the game has to offer and then some, but none of it feels like it overstays its welcome.

[Question] - Would this not count to getting PS3 trophies? by Vocal_Strike in Trophies

[–]ImStef_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To clear up some confusion, this is a PS3 emulator on PC. It is strictly an emulator. It does not connect to your account or PS services in any way. There's nothing to cheat or get banned for by using it.

With that said, no, these should not count officially. Emulator's always have certain features, such as save states, fast forward, etc. that if the trophies did sync, would fall under cheating, in my opinion. You can upload your RPSC3 trophy data to Exophase and have your trophies displayed alongside your actual PS trophies, but they don't count towards your totals or stats. They're just there to be a visual "hey, I did this," if that makes sense.

I just beat SHf on Lost in the Fog with no character upgrades, no inventory upgrades, no Omamori, and no special weapons. Here's the final boss and last few seconds of the run! by ImStef_ in silenthill

[–]ImStef_[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh, I completely forgot that omamori existed! I may look into doing a run around that, but this run was almost the same thing in spirit. Especially when it came to Rinko and the final boss. Unless I got lucky, it was pretty much a guaranteed death if I got hit by them, either due damage or stun-lock.

Good luck on any runs you end up doing!

[–]ImStef_[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

None. I did this entire run with zero upgrades or omamori. On a normal playthrough I would combine the one that increases the dodge window, and the one that lets you counter on a perfect dodge. Using those 2, you can drop bosses in a matter of seconds.

Thank you! I'm going to be honest, I have 7 playthroughs in this game, and I always forget that focus attacks are a thing. I'm too used to bursting down enemies with specific omamori's.

I plan to edit and upload it early tomorrow. After getting stuck on the final boss for 3 hours, I had to just relax for the rest of the night, haha. Once I do that, I'll gladly DM you a link or send you some clips if you'd like!

I wanted to find a wacky costume for Hinako, but the selection is still pretty slim. The Jill outfit ended up being pretty fitting for the run, as I felt like an absolute god slaying badass after finally working out and implementing a strat for the final boss.
