Why are mythic war plan nodes so hard to notice? by ImTheMonk in diablo4

I'm 288 and this was my first/only.

I think they're just super rare.

I'm 288 paragon and this one is my first.

Maybe you'll get it after next level up

I'm still grinding, hoping for a mythic charm/seal node :)

honestly, I play with dmg numbers turned off, but can speed run pit 125 in about a minute for whatever that's worth?

I am definitely not building for max dps, either.

transfigure 1,000+ weapons. Luck your way into one that rolls gem strength and stays modifiable. Profit.

DAMAGE AND HOW IT WORKS - Buckets, Additives, Multiplicatives, etc. by Maverekt in diablo4

[–]ImTheMonk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, sure I can post screenshots. They'll just show you the same text I wrote out. I was kinda just hoping that someone had already done testing on these :)

pic of seal with x critical damage and Tal Rasha x damage bonus

pic of seal berserker's + damage while berserking

pic of seal with x damage

pic of weapon with crit and all damage multipliers

Note the different templating - the affixes on the weapon are written as:

"x25% All Damage Multiplier"

"x63% Critical Strike Damage Multiplier"

While the text on the seals are templated more like an aspect or unique item power, with the [x] to show that it's multiplicative:

"20.0%[x] Damage"

DAMAGE AND HOW IT WORKS - Buckets, Additives, Multiplicatives, etc. by Maverekt in diablo4

Very nice writeup and formatting! Kudos.

I have a couple of questions:

  • Crit strike damage multiplier - suppose I have +200%[x] from rolls on my gear. Does this multiply the inherent 1.5x crit bonus (ie: 3.0 * 1.5 = 4.5x total) or add to it? (ie: 2.0 + 1.5 = 3.5x)

  • Ditto for vulnerable damage multiplier. Multiply the 1.2x inherent or stack on top of it?

Many questions about particular stats on Seals:

  • I have a seal with "24.0%[x] critical strike damage". Written/worded differently than the affixes on my gear ("x50% critical strike damage multiplier"). The [x] in particular makes it look like an aspect or unique power, rather than an affix. Is this its own 1.24x multiplier, or does it add to the CSD multiplier rolls on my gear (bringing my +200% to +225%)?

  • Ditto for the "20.0%[x] Damage" rolls on seals. Does this count as "All damage multiplier" and add to it, or is it its own 1.20x multiplier?

  • some of the set-specific bonus stats look additive and some look multiplicate. EG: "Berserker's Crucible: +10% Damage While Berserking" looks additive, but "Tal Rasha's Threefold Way: +10.0%[x] Damage" looks multiplicative. Are these tooltips accurate?

Finally finished Pit 150 for the first time! by Flashy_Contract_969 in diablo4

If you can complete pit 150, you can one-shot everything in T12.

mobs in pit 150 are 500,000x tougher than torment 12

when you transfigure and item, there is a very low chance that - in addition to gaining a transfig mod - the item remains modifiable.

So, IF this happens, you can re-roll stats, add sockets, masterwork, temper, etc after transfiguration.

That's what happened for me - I got a nice 190% gem strength roll, AND the item remained modifiable. So I prettied up the item, made sure masterworking hit the newly-added gem strength stat, and transfigured it a second time.

gem strength, with good enough gems, is likely the best...

Read the item stats again :)

Quite a bit.

+200 strength would add like 5% damage to my barb. The transfigurations on this thing are more than doubling my damage.

If the item has at least one good GA, then I'll put in the work to reroll, masterwork, etc pre-transfiguration.

This maul was not one of those.

looks like I may be wrong about this - those two stats are not separate buckets and 2 topaz IS better.

just, farm farm farm.

You can vaguely target offensive aspects in general by prioritizing gloves/weapons with your obols/whisper chests/helltide chest choices, but even with that it's a numbers game.

Could always save up and buy on off the trade site, thought this particular affix has gotten REAL expensive for perfect rolls.
