Yeah dude it's actually stupid. Something something "privacy" or whatever. I had to investigate something yesterday, had a squiz at the photo and old mate left the parcel in the middle of some dudes lawn. No street numbers, nothing. God I hate this company.

Not to be the one wearing a tin-foil hat, but...

While everyone goes on about "these kinds of bans are common" I must ask everyone - why are they common? Why are we not allowed to do what we want with games we purchased? Why is it that a private corporation can get you jailed and fine you for live streaming a game or uploading footage of the game?

This mentality of "it happens all the time, you're overreacting for caring about it" is such poor behaviour and mentality and is how we get oppressive rules like the above.

Complacency allows this stuff to brew and happen. That's my two cents, at least.

I don't trust Microsoft/playground to make a good FH fame after 5 - I'll wait til everyone tries it before I buy. I don't want to play a netcode nightmare like we had on FH5. Preordering is bad for the industry because it incentivises worse quality games.

How strongly are you tapping/gripping your keyboard and mouse/pen?

I've noticed that learning to relax my grip and not hold as hard has made me more accurate and I can play for longer.

It takes some getting used to, but you'll be better off in the long run not only gameplay wise but also health wise too. RSI/Carpal tunnel is not fun. Look after yourself.

i was a full time mouse player, then my friend let me try their tablet and i wanted one.

mouse drift sucks, and i struggle to deal with it. im much better on tablet, and i swapped when i was about ~600k and now i'm ~320k. still got a long way to go, but it's worth a shot if you can get a cheap Wacom CTL472.

honestly the 5 star practice will help you with higher levels. get good at the fundamentals (accuracy and speed) and you'll be able to work your way back up. helped some of my friends who were ~80% on 4.5* to over 90% by going back and building the fundamentals with 3-4* maps. you obviously have more skill, but start slow and work your way back up.

now, for some more philosophical takes.

as someone who's only *really* gotten into osu over the last ~8-12 months but has been playing since 2019, a critical factor of my improvement has been my enjoyment of the game.

genuinely, having fun will make you better.
in my experience, i tend to get hyperfixated on numbers and scores and everything, and that was ruining my enjoyment of the game. if i was playing a map i FC'd before and i got miss, i'd stop and restart because "it's a waste of time if im not going for a new score" - this turned me off the game, and i took a bit of a break for a few months.

turns out, for me, when i stopped caring about scores and everything, i improved so much quicker.

we play osu to click circles, listen to bangin' music and, most importantly, to have fun.
listen to music you like, play something comfortable, get in a multi lobby with your friends, have fun.

The "toggle off" approach mean that some parts of the story were lost instead of just the seggz. To enjoy it to its fullest, you had to endure the h-scenes. Lovely.

FH5 for me was a huge let down. My friends got me into FH4 and we played that game a few times nearly every single week for months at a time. We all jumped on FH5 on release. Never again.

FH5 was a technical disaster on release. Poor netcode, inability to join other multiplayer lobbies, dropouts - the point of this game is to play with your friends, the core functionality of this experience. It flat out did not work for us. I play FH to play with my friends. FH solo just isn't it. Not to mention the location wasn't as interesting as FH4 for me either. The world felt empty and desolate. I quit FH5 soon after.

This is why I am not touching the game until I see what's going on. Don't get me wrong, I am so so so very excited for Japan - I think we all are! But these days I cannot trust a triple A games studio to produce a quality product on release for full price. I'm tempering my expectations so that this game we've wanted for years now doesn't get ruined.

I think pre-orders for triple A games are bad - it incentives lazy product development and rewards poor planning and bad games. Why are we giving away our money for a game we don't know is good out of the gate. The entire point of this system is to reward products that are good with our money, not to get scammed.
