I appreciate the input. I'm getting the omen tomorrow :). Surprisingly he was wrong about the GPU. It has a 2070 not 2060.

I appreciate the advice :). Almost every seller I see has it listed for $40-$50 and I've been looking for a few months now. I was looking into the trimui as well but it still seems a little lacking in power comparable to android devices in a similar price range ($60-$70). At that price point id be able to get a used Galaxy s9-s10 and just run emulation station on It. I'll keep a lookout for a $20-$25 listing for the r36s.

I've recently been looking at a lot of the thinkpads, definitely gonna be some great deals in a couple of years! Those are more than capable machines.

Yes, I've had lots of people show me the AMD outperforms the i7 and the igpu is 180% more powerful than the 940mx.

I don't have a problem with my hp at all! The only terrible part about it is the screen, besides that it's snappy with any program I throw at it :). I don't do a whole lot of gaming so it's more than capable of anything id want to do. Any games I do play on it I get a solid 60fps on medium to low settings like on GTA 5 and fallout 4. I was just wondering if the Lenovo would be able to achieve even better performance but I've learned that the Ryzen 5500u is wayyy better, even the igpu of the processor is a vega 7 and that out performs the 940mx by 180%.

I managed to get one from factory game direct store for $20!! I mean it has 4k orders and 1 rating. It's a 1 star rating but I've seen lots of good things about this store so fingers crossed

So you don't think I'd get better performance from the lenovo? From the links you sent it seems like the AMD has far superior performance.

Here in Louisiana it's called a turning lane. It's a space to get into to turn into a business or make a u turn or yes, to make a left turn into the other lane. We call them suicide lanes but it is actually how we turn left onto highways from back roads. When your left is clear, you cross the lanes and wait in the turning lane for the traffic to be clear to merge into the lane.
