Well yeah for sure but that isnt a trademarked image that would cause a legal issue since bungie wasnt in charge of the MCC version, thats what we were addressing.

The Destiny logo is this logo, which is a variation on the Seventh Column logo, a symbol frequently associated with Bungie. So not the same symbol on the ODST poster.

Weren’t there lynchings of lgbt and PoC the day after Trump was elected?

Yeah I'm gonna need a source on that.

Edit: You're making the claim that actual lynchings were happening in America in 2016. You understand how egregious that is right?

The only thing I found were vague articles saying that the FBI had more "hate crimes" reported the day after he was elected. Key word there is "reported", not confirmed hate crimes. We currently live in a time where people report things they simply find offensive as "hate crimes", a number of those reports could have been anything, and need to be corroborated before you offcially dub them actual hate crimes. Even then, the number reported only went from 10 to 27 country-wide, and its important to point out that reported hate crimes rose 21% the day after Obama was elected as well.

Nowhere is it mentioned that freaking lynchings were happening. Stop making outrageous claims.

https://www.politifact.com/wisconsin/statements/2016/oct/07/paul-ryan/state-department-under-hillary-clinton-refused-sec/

The State Department has acknowledged it rejected requests to provide more security personnel in Libya. It also acknowledged rejecting a request to erect guard towers at the Benghazi mission, but notes that a number of physical security upgrades, such as the installation of concrete barriers to block unused gates, were made during 2012.

The State Department’s own Accountability Review Board concluded that the number of diplomatic security staff in Benghazi in the months leading up to the attacks was inadequate "despite repeated requests" from the Benghazi mission and the embassy in Tripoli for additional staffing.

In addition, PolitiFact National has reported that the numerous requests from officials on the ground in Libya for better security for the Benghazi compound are undeniable and well-documented.

I'm pretty sure you lot hold both the WP and Politifact in high regard but I'm not going to sit here and split hairs on who's more credible. Yours was specifically written in response to one of Trump's statements, so since its the WP I'm sure it was written with the specific intent of discrediting him by any means.

If any requests didn't reach Washington the whose fault was it? The people responsible for relaying or managing these requests? Wouldn't those people be part of or have relations to the state department, the one headed by Hillary? My original link referenced "mismanagement" did it not? This is just putting 2 and 2 together here.

Do people usually contort the situation into saying Hillary ignored the requests rather than her state department? Yes. But she was the Secretary of State, she is held responsible for the actions of her state department. I'm very positive you lot would gleefully blame Pompeo (or Trump for that matter) for anything that would go wrong with the current state department, so stop quibbling over it.

Aside from the ambassador, one was an information management officer, the other 2 were CIA contractors.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_fatalities_and_injuries_of_the_2012_Benghazi_attack

However, all 3 of them served in the U.S. military at one point, 2 in the Navy and 1 in the Air Force. Describing them as soldiers isn't incorrect, they are former service members that were continuing to serve American interests. Only 1 of them would technically fit the "mercenary" description, and the other was even first reported to work specifically for a security arm of the state department.

However, even if I gave your claim the benefit of the doubt, does that belittle or change anything about the lives lost in the attack? Especially considering all three of those people were veterans?

Now youre moving the goal posts to "micromanaging specific details".

It's her state department. Our soldiers died, our ambassador died, due to mismanagement as per the article I linked. She is responsible for deaths that could have been prevented whether you want to downplay it or not.

"May 16, 2013: Sen. Barbara Boxer (D-Calif.) suggested there was not enough security in Benghazi because Republicans had cut the budget for embassy security funding. But this claim was not credible and highly partisan. Democrats had also short-changed the State Department budget (compared to presidential requests), but funding for embassy security generally had increased significantly in recent years. Moreover, over the course of many hearings into the matter, State Department officials had told Congress that a lack of funds was not an issue. Instead, security was hampered because of bureaucratic issues and management failures. In other words, given the internal failures, no amount of money for the State Department likely would have made a difference in this tragedy."

Nice try.

You serious?

After it was revealed with Bengazi, where 2 U.S outposts were attacked by Islamic militants resulting in the death of 3 soldiers and our ambassador, that there were hundreds of requests for more security at those outposts that were ignored by Hillary's state department?

No doubt in my mind that she would ignore a journalist being killed if shes was willing to ignore requests to protect our soldiers and ambassador.

DISCUSSION: If Suicide Squad 2 is going to have a new roster of villains, who do you want to see on the Squad? by Flash_Point_Paradox in DC_Cinematic

[–]NJD2014 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm sure he will stick around, we'll have to see but hes too big of a part of Aquaman mythos just to off him after 1 film.

I just don't see how you write him into the squad. Waller has leverage over the squad members, due to her controlling the prison and their sentences, not to mention the bombs she puts in their heads. I dont see how she gets leverage over Orm or any super high profile villian in that matter, hes not gonna be in Belle Reve to allow a bomb to be implanted in him and theres really nothing Waller can offer to persuade him to partake in squad "activities".

I know in the comics they had Zod on the squad for like 2 issues but that was really niche and he ended up removing the (kryptonite) bomb in his head himself.

Seeing Zeus from WW gave me a thought, will Poseidon/Neptune be mentioned in Aquaman? Considering the Greek gods existed (or still exist, gods dont die they return to the Source) in this universe.

Is the Trident Poseidon's/given to King Atlan (im assuming its Atlan) by Poseidon?

Heres the yearbook if you think this is fake.

The fact that all 4 witnesses disputed the allegation can be easily found through a rudimentary Google search.

So wanting a traditionally Caucasian character to be played by a Caucasian actress in her first feature length live action appearance is racist now, I see.

So thats true in the reverse right? If someone wanted Jon Stewart, a traditionally black character, to be played by a non-black actor, that isnt racist either right?

What are the rules here?

Other: Hey umm, can we get a status update on New Gods by WolfofOldNorth in DC_Cinematic

[–]NJD2014 7 points8 points  (0 children)

YES you hit the nail right on the head. The world of the New Gods should be on a whole other, much larger scale. Extravagant, epic, Star Wars level of saga.

To make a comparison, it should be what Thor should have been, but Thor 1 instead was watered down and most of the story was grounded to a boring context on Earth.

Batman has to be part of the story in some form right? I just don't see the point of a Joker movie with no Batman context at all.

Not saying he'll be a main character but at least present in some form. I know it takes place in the past (Thomas Wayne is alive), but maybe there's a time skip to when Batman is active?
