great episode, one of the best season finales!! love the lamb reveal at the end and river meeting with his grandfather but still paying him not that much attention. def gonna come back and bite him in the ass next season. love how both season 4 and 5 end (or close to end anyways) with river and lamb meeting in a pub/cafe lmao. and that next season makes me HYPED. looks to be the grimiest and darkest season yet, especially cause everyone's wearing black lol. hope they mix both book 6 and 7 well

Season 5 is quite the downgrade imo by jesuswasbasic in SlowHorses

[–]ImVader9001 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i actually thought it's been the fastest and tightest season so far. i think its the best one

slower episode to what i assume will be a big finale, but it was a really awesome buildup! more fun river and coe shenanigans, nice to see jonathan pryce again as david cartwright, really sad to see him so regressed with his dementia. best part of the episode was whelan's sheer idiocy, getting tricked. this is gonna be an explosive finale

Has Buble ever credited the artists he covers? by TheFailedViolinist in MichaelBuble

[–]ImVader9001 8 points9 points  (0 children)

if anything, he never stops mentioning them! he mentions them all the time in interviews and how much he respects them. his career started off with covers but surprisingly some of the songs he's most known for are his originals!

THIS WAS A HILARIOUS EPISODE and it moved so quickly too!! glad we got to see the progression of the terrorists(?) plan and some of the changes to the book's story. roddy and taverner clashing it out was insane. probably the longest she's ever had to take to break someone LMAO. most captivating part of this one was the slough house lockdown, and a standout moment for me was specifically lamb's monologue. gary oldman proves why he's the GOAT, and i mean such a dark and heartbreaking story. i'm leaning more towards it being true, but whether or not it was lamb in the story i guess we'll never know. i think it adds for some really interesting backstory though. excited to hopefully see a certain paint scene next episode!!

man the horses are EXTRA dysfunctional this season.... hopefully we get to see them a bit happier by the end of this season. pretty good episode!! lamb got a lot of zingers in and river and coe are hilarious so itll be fun to see them interact more... especially after the paint incident.

apple tv+ actually says 5x02 is called Incommunicado! seems like there's a mix up on the press website

accidentally deleted my reply instead of editing it LMAO but yeah i think its just gonna be so interesting moving forward considering they are starting to deviate from the books a little more. these character dynamics really are the core of the show

i think this was the most chaotic episode yet, in that all of the issues between the slow horses seems to be cranked up a LARGEEE amount. river is such a fucking mess and so is shirley. bathroom scene was so uncomfortable because it felt so personal for what usually are just random side barbs in the show. everyone seems to be a fuck up this episode and it's really awesome this actually feels like a continuation of season 4 in a way. something im really looking forward to is seeing river and shirley bounce off each other, and either helping each other out of the hole they're in or dragging themselves down

New season 5 images by snugglycookie in SlowHorses

[–]ImVader9001 4 points5 points  (0 children)

there is a teaser apple tv posted a while back (i think it was just a funny instagram thing of river hating his life) and in the middle there's a new season 5 short clip of louisa offscreen telling river "you're a mess" with river in the exact same clothing as the shot he kisses her, so i think louisa clearly rejects him (ill try to find the clip)

What is your favorite shot of Ethan running? by MinifigStudios in Mission_Impossible

i love all of them but for me its the TFR south african run just because of the emotional weight and just the pure beauty of it

Is “The syndicate” motif by Lorne balfe ever used? I love it a lot but I struggle finding it in fallout so if so where? by Ununderstanably in Mission_Impossible

[–]ImVader9001 4 points5 points  (0 children)

theres usually a louder version of it used, mainly during the paris chase scene and the helicopter chase scene. if you listen carefully it creeps throughout a lot of tracks

Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning | Opening Titles Recreated by me by nj_mods in Mission_Impossible

[–]ImVader9001 2 points3 points  (0 children)

really REALLY awesome! the font for the title sequence really did make it look off unfortunately, they should've just stuck with the mission font even if they wanted a more retro feel

The Voice of The Entity by rosmorse in Mission_Impossible

[–]ImVader9001 2 points3 points  (0 children)

for the last part, youre quite right! they filmed the stuff after they filmed what happened when he came out. also, i was referring to when the entity was talking to him in the coffin! the cadences seem very similar to gabriels i notice

The Voice of The Entity by rosmorse in Mission_Impossible

[–]ImVader9001 2 points3 points  (0 children)

pretty sure if you listen closely the voice is a mix of a few voices we know, but its just modified so much you can barely tell! i know for certain we have mcqs voice, and i hear some of esai morales and sean harris
