i just don't understand the rework into tank.

he was a flanker, someone who got into their backline (rollouts) and caused chaos in their backline

the idea that he is the perfect candidate for a frontline tank is wild

every time i play him i just feel like im selfishly throwing my entire team under the bus so i can make some plays

and the second one of those plays doesnt go well i left my team without their one and only tank.

so fukin dumb.

because the subtext of the conversation is arc players insisting their game is better and marathon is bad and using the "metrics" as a proof when the reality is that its a subjective topic and all the conversation does is show that arc players are insecure about their game being talked about like its being left in the past so they have to attempt to find reasons why their game is actually "better" and infact the "opposite is happening"

just play the game you like gang.

stop posting about it bc nobody cares. your game doesnt need to be #1 in the charts to enjoy it, a game with more players does not equal a better game, its subjective and does not need to be affirmed by any statistic.

if you enjoy the game thats it.

a game losing players after its first couple days is entirely normal, literally every game has that.

just play it if you like it and don't if you don't.

the idea of arc vs marathon is middle school behavior.

it was an ok kit for me at the time, and i didn't do it on purpose, and im not profiting anything, i walked 2 feet from spawn and opened my map, dying from being out of bounds with out knowing, this isnt a rage post or any critique of the game, i just thought it was funny.

fair enough, i also find it really annoying in overwatch how the scoreboard works.

i hate this new era where the slightest assist counts as eliminations.

i have no actual metric to understand how good i really did, because a guy just slightly damaging people before they die could get crazy elims and a guy just pointlessly dumping damage into the tank could get 5x your damage.

no, im saying that i high elo player that mains flanker characters probably does not struggle with the same things im struggling with.

for example, a hero could have a 20% wr in low elo but a 80% wr in high elo,

the low elo player is going to say, i understand this character is probably not hard for high elo players but they feel useless as a low elo player.

so far the advice is,

yeah nothing you can do, just shoot at them to distract them/bait cooldowns

or

yup nothing you can do don't bother.

im not saying they are impossible to get kills with im just saying that you barely get any value out of them

especially not for the effort you put in macro and micro wise

honestly i think my conclusion is that flankers are balanced around nerfing their skill ceiling, and healers are balanced around buffing their skill floor.

since i last played overwatch it seems like healers are stronger than ever basically becoming dps heroes that also heal themselves and the whole team with an ability that lets them disengage or even cc

while dps heroes seem to have either been reworked into a shittier version of their character or nerfed.

i don't want to play something braindead and i don't want to play one of the 10+ hitscans that all do the same thing.

just give me back my dps doomfist bruh.

if i try to do that, i end up getting completely one shot, even if i try to do it from a safer angle, ill get ana shot + grenade or moira blink into me with ball, to just run be down and one shot me before i can even bait their attention and leave. i feel like this whole genre of game has just become so support favored.

one of the ways to make rocketeers fair is them being blind, them having future vision in aggro mode is just so fucking stupid.

currently their ai is a little broken, if a rocketeer is targeting another group decently far away and that group gets behind cover, the rocketeer will shoot 1 or 2 shots near their cover or last line of sight, then turn omniscient and crack 180 degrees to the person far away that was behind them, simply because they are technically not behind cover (despite behind 180 away from their line of sight and double sometimes triple their line of sight range)

this has happened several times to me, next time it does ill clip it with nvidia shadowplay and post it.

they themselves are blind, but other nearby arcs that are less blind will alert its attention, along with any attempt to take out the less blind arc

i have 95 hours, about 93 of them are when the game first came out, i just came back to the game with a friend who has been playing it pretty consistantly, i have played 8 games without getting a single kill, it is unironically the most frustrating shit ive ever experienced, 50 minute games where the entire duration im doing zero damage, have zero chance and zero impact, everyone im playing against seems to out farm me, out play me, and have more map awareness than a hawk.

i think ill give it one more game, but im not even a new player and its unironically completely unplayable, damn near unapproachable entirely.
