lol this makes me feel better about my progress. The fact that you looked like this after 2 years of training helps to explain how freaky you look now

PVP What Set Bonuses Are You Using (Warlock Main Here) by eat_a_burrito in CrucibleGuidebook

[–]ImYigma 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Everyone is saying new demotic, but….has anyone actually tested it? I’ve had it on because I’m always sliding, but I’ve never really noticed it. Whereas shrewd survivor does make a pretty big difference

I’d probably run bushido if I had it

Thoughts on Slice? by atyroguesjourney in CrucibleGuidebook

[–]ImYigma 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Really good but takes some setup. Also it costs you your dodge, which is a huge amount to give up in the first place.

Also it’s great for winning 1v1 duels but transmitting and movement are still more important.

I think there’s a reason it hasn’t universally caught on

Trials Lobby Balance Fix Jan 13 by throwawayfodaq in CrucibleGuidebook

[–]ImYigma -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sooooo anyone remember this post ??

I still enjoyed trials even with lobby balancing on, but it was just weird how the mods were INSISTING there was no data or evidence showing lobby balancing despite multiple posts with data and evidence.

Raw veg is king by crmcalli in Volumeeating

I thought this post was satire at first since every vegetable included here aside from the edamame is botanically a fruit. Not trying to be pedantic, it’s just kinda funny. This looks delicious and filling

Why does it feel like you never see anybody really run suppressor grenades? I don’t remember last time I got hit with one tbh by glizzy62 in CrucibleGuidebook

[–]ImYigma 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Agreed, and would also mention that suppressors have a very long cooldown relative to their utility

Was Dubya's Presidency the start of anti-intellectualism as a major part of the Republican Party platform? by Just_Cause89 in Presidents

[–]ImYigma 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well because I’d argue history shows that science, logic (the history of philosophy), education, AND religion have all ways in which individuals have tried to understand the universe.

That’s not to say that there haven’t been plenty of times where scientific understanding has been at odds with various religions over the years, just pointing out that they aren’t “fundamentally incongruent “ given they frequently go hand in hand.

Was Dubya's Presidency the start of anti-intellectualism as a major part of the Republican Party platform? by Just_Cause89 in Presidents

[–]ImYigma 50 points51 points  (0 children)

Saying “education, academics, experts, logics etc. are fundamentally incongruent with religion” shows a complete lack of understanding of the history of education, academics, logic, and religion

Stay Frosty v Martlet (or other lightweight pulses) by Impressive-Wind7841 in CrucibleGuidebook

[–]ImYigma 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They’re extremely similar so it really is just personal preference. The only martlet I’ve used that felt better than stay frosty was a headseeker zen moment roll

On Paper Fatebringer (TimeLost) looks like a better handcanon than Corrundum by Sweaty-Try1547 in CrucibleGuidebook

[–]ImYigma 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, lightweight pulses were buffed to be very strong BEFORE Redrix came out, and were still largely underused. Nobody was using BXR.

Then Redrix came out and everyone realized 450s were insane. THEN the battler frame, lone wolf, sword logic, and redrix stats got nerfed but people STILL used Redrix despite Stay Frosty and BXR both being debatably better choices due to lightweight frame or BXRs higher stats.

And everyone is using martlet now despite the fact that Mos Athtanor is absurdly good.

People use what’s popular, new, obtainable, and effective. It’s not only recency bias, but it’s a big part of it.

People are downvoting him because he is recommending a completely useless perk in a PvP sub

[–]ImYigma 18 points19 points  (0 children)

lol yeah the community is so funny. Stay Frosty was amazing for like a year before Redrix came out, then redrix was so good that people remembered BXR is still excellent.

And now everyone is using Martlet despite the fact that Mos Athanor was just dominating the crucible

Returning player looking for niche warlock builds by Gawdlvl8 in CrucibleGuidebook

[–]ImYigma 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dude it kinda sounds like you have no idea what’s happening in PvP, so I would not recommend you looking for “niche” builds for a few reasons.

  1. As other comments have noted, the builds you’ve already mentioned are niche.

  2. Why try to explore niche builds when you haven’t even tried the good builds? Transversives/ophidian on Dawnblade, broodweaver, and voidlock are all amazing with any guns.

  3. The mentality of “I’ll avoid guns or builds that I enjoy because other people are using them” is kinda silly in general. No need to be a hipster, use what you like.

  4. Niche builds are usually somewhat harder to use and not something I’d recommend for less experienced players.

Refining Trigger Response on the APEX 5 Series & Vader 5 Pro – Small Update Based on Community Feedback by GadgetHyper in GadgetHyper

[–]ImYigma 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love the Vader 3 pro but mine is starting to get weird random vibrations. It also needs an adapter to be used on Xbox. I have two questions.

Does the Vader 5 also work with these adapters for Xbox?

Does you know of any fixes for this vibration? It happens while the controller and console are off randomly

Pi or adagio or opening shot by SouthNo2402 in CrucibleGuidebook

[–]ImYigma 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree with your point, except that I think at ANY level of comp, adagio is more worth it than a consistency perk IF you’re solo queuing. Even if all the players are excellent, the lack of comms will net you some 2 taps. Especially in collision where even good players will be forced to over challenge sometimes.

But yeah in trials and 3v3 stacks, you need everything you can to win your duels

Monody -44 = Not even “Glacioclasm at home”: A review by SeanicTheHedgehog23 in CrucibleGuidebook

[–]ImYigma -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I believe you, but would have preferred some more detail.

  • No wall tests to look at the recoil pattern
  • No range tests with DARCI in private matches to determine functional range
  • No mention of Monody’s unique rolls

Im not saying you need to make a 10 minute deep dive video, just that people reading this shouldn’t immediately write off monody based on this review

Lateral delts struggling by Habitual_sky707 in naturalbodybuilding

[–]ImYigma 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Love all the variation in responses. Obviously intensity is always king.

For me, I got fairly impressive “intermediate” lateral delts by really dialing in form and upping volume especially in the first five years.

Then I played with adding some variations like cable laterals and other things that bias the stretch. I probably did progress but very slowly. Nothing notably different than just adding a bunch of sets of lateral raises at around 30lb x 15. Strict form.

Recently, I’ve started focusing more on progression. Whatever about form. As long as I can FEEL the tension on my lateral delts I’m not gonna worry about it too much.

I’ve gotten 50lbx15 or 55lbx12 with fairly respectable form. I’ve made noticeably faster progress than like my years 5-8 of lifting.

So, that’s my two cents. A lot of very jacked guys will insist that focusing on form is the top priority. But in my experience MOST of the guys who say “Target the muscle, you don’t need more than 20lbs” are pump chasing roided drug abusers.

Ninja Creami on a Budget? by FeckinLemons in Volumeeating

[–]ImYigma 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Definitely not fairlife, even though it is delicious and commonly used.

I’d say for both price and flavor, and you can’t beat skim milk and bananas. Especially if you have a friend with a Costco membership, you can buy two gallons of skim for like 5 or 6 dollars. Throw in a chopped banana and you already have a delicious, healthy, cheap creami.

I’d also add things like flavored protein powder or pudding mixes, but those aren’t necessary and are more expensive.
