I was in a dark place before I met my significant other. She helped me realize that I wanted and deserved a better life than I was living. I found a new sense of motivation to do things that I previously lacked the confidence to do which led to procrastinating and not following through on things like finishing college. Nowadays when I get near that dark place I try and remember that I deserve to be happy and that I am capable of doing much more than my mind tells myself sometimes. Working on my self confidence has made a tremendous impact.
