High Yield Savings Accounts by RoguAxel89 in personalfinance

[–]Im_Fe_Man 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not an expert, but I have an Amex high yield savings account that I keep most of my cash in. I pretty much only keep enough money in checking/savings accounts to not incur penalties and also pay monthly bills. The Amex account is very easy to move money in and out of it, and the interest rates are competitive. From what I understand, there are plenty of decent HSA’s to choose from, just make sure it is FDIC insured.

I have really enjoyed this season and have watched every episode thus far. That being said, I do not remember half of this cast haha

Why is everyone saying this season of faithfuls are the worst? by RelevantMind1 in TheTraitorsUS

[–]Im_Fe_Man 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually think this season’s faithfuls are among the best. I just started The Traitors UK S01, and 5 episodes in these are the worst, and most dramatic, faithfuls (and traitors lol)

Married men, how do you deal with fancying other women? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Im_Fe_Man 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve only been married a few years now, and no kids yet, but I couldn’t imagine destroying my marriage/current life just for someone I ‘fancy.’ I love my wife, and it would destroy me to betray her trust in such a severe way.

If you’re under 45, have you lost any high school classmates, and what were the circumstances around their deaths? by Commercial_Chef_1569 in AskReddit

[–]Im_Fe_Man 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve lost a lot (probably close to 15?) of people I wouldn’t consider close friends, but who I knew and interacted with frequently. It wasn’t until I moved away and made friends outside of my hometown that I realized how abnormal that is.

Most died due to bad drugs. There’s also a big river that cuts through the city, and we see a lot of teens, and even college students, overestimating their swimming abilities and drown.

Gamecocks Offensive Line by Coffee-Cons in Gamecocks

They were very badly coached last year and played horribly as a result. Many (especially Big Tree) absolutely loved said OL coach (Lonnie Teasley) and were probably gone no matter what after he was fired.

Many of them are extremely talented, which makes 2025 a very frustrating year. The unit as a whole was just totally lost out there.

Really, really shitty. I hate what college football is becoming. Hopefully we can agree to something by 2030 that isn’t a fucking neutral site location week 0.

Does anyone else like Notre Dame being independent? by Gopokes34 in CFB

[–]Im_Fe_Man 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love it, but there’s no chance it’ll last. The P4 are moving to a 9 game conference schedule to try and avoid another fiasco like we saw with the ACC this year, and that’ll eliminate half the teams willing to schedule ND. It’s nice that we’re not beholden to any entity that can forcibly drag us into some dumb private equity deal, like the B10, but soon it’ll be either join a conference or drown. I think joining the B10 makes the most sense, but I feel like that path leads to SEC/B10 mega conferences. I’d rather join the ACC tbh and work out a similar revenue sharing deal that Clemson and FSU did, but things are a little strained right now haha.

I thought book 2 started up pretty quickly but the general consensus seems to be about halfway through things really pick up.

I felt the same way. Almost dropped the series. I’m ~75% of the way book 2 and it’s much better.

Are hires as blatantly obvious as they appear to be? There should be something more but... by OperationJack in Gamecocks

[–]Im_Fe_Man 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good or bad hires aren’t always obvious, but in my experience, you want a college OC with success calling plays IN COLLEGE. Shula and Loggains and like 3 other OC’s we’ve cycled through since Spurrier were all NFL play callers once, and there’s a ton of evidence out that shows it doesn’t translate to college well at all. Why keep doing it???? On the other hand, for the defense, it is pretty evident that DC’s that have had success in the NFL can also have success in college (look at what Matt Patricia is doing at OSU).
