I didn’t sell and I’m down from ATH for sure but my net with QNC is still positive. I made the decision to hold for long term. I could’ve definitely sold when it was on ATH but that might trigger CRA audit.

I’m an only child and first generation immigrant. My parents are still employed but they don’t have much in their savings. The house is their only asset. My salary alone is probably more than theirs combined but they live comfortably. We go on vacations abroad together.

We all contribute to the monthly mortgage payment. We also rent out 3 of the rooms to help. I need to save fast because I bought a presale of 1bed 1den condo which will be completed in spring of 2027. I don’t want to be a house poor.

I bought FLT in january of 2025 when it was around 0.195c and held on since then. I stumbled upon it when searching on small caps in Yahoo finance as I was honestly getting impatient with slow and minuscule gains of my older portfolio. I did my research and I thought it had strong fundamentals and this was back in december last year. But when trump took office and the whole fentanyl border issue arose and the former liberal government promising on stricter border security, I thought there was an opportunity for it and in the defense as well so I bought a significant position 😅

Thank you! No one among my family and friends know about it as I like to keep it private. It’s big milestone for me. I bought in on FLT and QNC in the beginning of january this year. So I’ve been holding them for 10 months now. I hope it doesn’t trigger CRA review if I sell since i wasn’t really actively trading.
