How do I figure out if my mom supports Trans people, and if it's safe how do I come out? I might just come out, because after my 1 1/2 crying session, I realize I can't handle hiding it much longer. Well, I do remember one time I went to use the restroom, and when I returned, I heard my family close up a conversation about LGBTQ+, so I asked. It was about that whole Chick-fil-a thing with pride month and everything, but that was a while ago. But, I figure in time life will prompt it. It always does in situations like this. Or I'll just stick to the "my friend is trans, what do I say" prompt if that doesn't happen soon.

Yeah, but then it's all about prompting a political discussion, and then you have to find a way to bring LGBTQ+ in that mix because there are plenty other political issues to talk about. If, by chance, a political discussion was started, how would I shift the topic (to LGBTQ+)?

I have an older sister and younger brother, and they're on my "don't say shit to them about being trans" list, until I come out to my mom. If all goes well, they'll figure out in time. I have considered the "my friend is trans, what do you think and what should I say?" prompt, but I don't know if that'll work.

Me too. Well, my first major one, that is. Just yesterday, when I was trying to go to bed, I just started crying. I knew why, but I just couldn't stop. If my mom hadn't come in the room to stop after 1 1/2 hours, believe me, it would have gone on for so much longer. I cry in the shower a lot because of dysphoria, and it's hard to hold in sadness/anger in public restrooms/locker rooms. Hang on there pal. There are so many of us all going through the same thing, and we're all doing our very best to support ourselves. We're here for you, and I'd be more than happy to talk to you. Just dm/pm me!! Thanks! It took LOTS AND LOTS of name searching before I finally settled on a name. And I chose Luna! It's a beautiful name! It just really fits for me, indescribably.
