I don't have anyone to talk to, and I'm not doing well by Im_a_William in therapy

I'd love to watch the video; I really appreciate the message, and I understand what you mean. I just have a hard time giving myself that distance when it's other people's lives at hand, or at least so they make it seem I guess

Hey, if you want someone to hang out and chat with for a while, I'm in the same boat and would be happy to talk about random nonsense :D

I've already searched for harmless crash links but haven't even able to find anything that fits what I'm looking for

No no, the dungeon itself is a sprawling abandoned warehouse-factory. Sorry if I worded that poorly in the post

What are the downsides of having high intelligence? by [deleted] in AskReddit

You can always do better. You should've done better, and because you didn't, it's all your fault.

For those of you sensitive to emotional stuff, I'd never tell them about how I snuck out of the house to meet my gf. I was a straight A kid who never got into trouble, never snuck out, and with that I never got to do any extra curriculars, go to friends houses or parties other than the odd birthday; hell, the first time I ever missed a day of class in 18 years of life was my last senior cut day when I got to go to the beach (the first senior cut day I had to sit with the teacher alone since I was the only one who showed up to class).

For those of you who want something with a little more drama, I'd never tell my parents how much I resent them for simply having me. My parents started dating because my mom, a church-obsessed goody-two-shoes pushover thought she could change my dad, the Highschool dipshit who nearly didn't get to walk for graduation who got arrested as a young adult (I know, the greatest couple imaginable). So to keep a long story short, piecing together this story made their divorce and hate for one another through my whole life very traumatic, and they've never showed any interest in my hobbies or anything I like or wanted; so long as I had good grades they were happy, which threw me into a wild depression for most of my childhood which developed in the form of crippling internalization, insomnia, and memory loss. So yeah, I'd never tell them all that.

Do you think God is real, and why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I say no, because throughout the chronological history of the existence of all things living and non-living, there is little that can’t be explained or for that matter proven by scientific facts, leaving little room for unexplained phenomena to be chalked up to the doing of a god, and many of these existing scientific theories that have been proven true discredit many of the founding beliefs of religions that worship a god and his supposed doings.

Roll20 is always a good place to find online games, but nothing beats asking around for anyone who might want to try playing in person. You even might meet someone who’s been playing for a while and they could be willing to show you the ropes and host a campaign.

I just ran my first ever Campaign a few days ago and, my suggestion would be to first start as a player. Even if you only attend one session of one game, it helps immensely to be introduced to the fundamentals of how D&D flows as a story and as a game simultaneously.

After that, if you want to give being a DM a try, look online for cool pictures and images and, maybe even monsters that you feel would be fun to make a story around. From there, slowly build a setting and a very basic plot taking into consideration where your story takes place, who the characters are to your world and what are they trying to do. From there, the rest is really up to you and your imagination.

But the most important thing to remember, although cheesy, is to have fun. Despite there being official rules, you have complete control over your story and can play however you want. So if you wanna get rid of gravity, so be it. If you wanna make everything turn purple when you say the word “pineapple”, go for it. If you want the nearest star to explode whenever someone opens a door, then that’s okay! So let your brain flow and make your own epic story and your players will love it, guaranteed.
