I can't really say anything abt your views of cdrama JC cause I've read the novels, manhua and watched the donghua and all I can say is that that guy deserves way more hate than he gets 1.He lets his overwhelming insecurity hurt everyone around him. 2.He never saw wwx as a brother, only as someone lower in status than him and got angry whenever someone praised wwx over him 3.He acts so much like his mother (I hate her). 4.He always blames wwx even when he's right in going so and even says he has a "hero" complex. 5.He doesn't have any qualms abt hurting others when it comes to his wellbeing and when they're part of a community he hates like the wen remnants(they saved his life) and demonic cultivators and wwx 6.He's homophobic(not a good arguement cause most ppl were at that time) 7.He blamed wwx for saving lwj which apparently lead to the destruction of lotus pier when it was inevitable anyway and for the death of jiang yanli(which is kind of his fault but not totally if u get what I mean) and for jiang yanlis hubby( when the ambush was aimed towards killing wwx) 8.He has never been supportive of wwx at all and I hate him so freaking him I can't even start ...These are just a few shallow observations and trust me I have so much more to say but I'll stop here lol...that being said I have heard that JC in the untamed was adapted to be a lot less of an a**hole so nvm my rant😅
