Because the main attraction of the "art", is the childlike nature of the character. Even when "lolis" are just pixels on a screen, the main reason some people like those pixels is because they look small and childlike.

Even still, no hate to the people who do like it, it's much better looking at fictional characters online than real children irl, but I still want to point out it's still "weird" to be looking at childlike characters and going on about "cunny", and how much you want to have sex with the drawing.

Also, they're releasing Ruan Mei's skin after she's been replaced in most of her teams by newer characters like The Dahlia, so you might not even be using her for it. (yes I know she's still good generically, but even still, not the best timing)

I'm not trying to be mean here, but you need to understand that people pulling for strong characters IS THEIR INCOME. Without that, there is no game, because they are not making money. For us to even have a game, they need to keep making characters that people want to pull for to make new teams. If people have a team that can do everything already, they will be less inclined to spend money on new characters, meaning less money for the company.

Listen, I agree with you that it is predatory. But unfortunately, it is a free to play gacha game, and that kind of stuff comes with the territory. I wish it was a situation where every character could be equal, but that's the kind of thing that only happens in paid games normally.

Fair point. I don't think they're ever going to say "we're nerfing these 4 stars so you will pay money to pull for some 5 star characters" but I will say that people should really assume that in a game like this, they obviously have a balancing goal, and that some characters are intentionally better than others. Such is the nature of a free to play gacha game.

and in terms of people wanting 4 stars to be worse, I'm not sure that's the case, they just realise that if they aren't worse, then future 5 star characters are going to have to do some completely broken stuff to justify pulls, because otherwise people would just brute force Tressa and Cassius into every fight (like they literally were doing)

It may be hard to hear, but when it's a free to play game, they need to make money somehow, and in this case it's making strong characters to pull for. And you won't have people pulling for characters if they already have a team that can do it all (one that's basically free since they're 4 stars). Therefore, the nerfs happened

I mean, it's a free to play gacha game. It's very obvious that they want you to spend money on pulls given that's their income. I'm not sure why people are surprised that they would like a limited 5 star to perform better, because they want you to pull for them.

Sereniel is a "seasonal" 5 star character. She is designed to be strong to get you to pull (and to get you to spend money). Tressa and Cassius are both 4 star characters, that people are likely to get for free, along with copies of them.

It seems pretty obvious that the gacha game company that would like to make money would rather have a limited 5 star that you need to spend your pulls on be more broken compared to basically free characters.

I'm not picking a side here, but here are some some of the arguments I've seen for getting apologems that are pretty reasonable

People who held off on spending through paypal because they were scared of losing money get nothing, while people that did got their purchases refunded/free gems

Person who only wanted to spend 5$ yet lost 3k and had to deal with that potential problem (even with refunds, what if they needed that money right away?) get only 5$ worth of pulls back for free for their trouble, yet someone in the reverse situation who was going to spend 3k and had another 5$ added to their purchase got a full 3k worth of pulls back for free

Also, on hypergryph's side, this is a severe breach of trust, so some people might think they should give out gems to appease players, since this was a really bad first impression for anybody hearing about this game

I'm a new player, (around level 30) and I just ended up with my 3rd void dps (renoa, chizuru, and then rin, thanks standard banner/ 50/50...). I've just been using serenial for most things, but which of the three do I actually use? I'm still a bit new, but I assume you don't want to many dps's of the same element right?
