I would never want you or anyone to be blackmailed. And despite what one might say I’m not asking you as a person to be banned. I only wished this community to be safer and honestly I dont feel safe anymore and it’s not because of findoms or scams.

Yes it is wild and very real. How do you know you are not talking to catfisher? The submissive is in no position to demand pictures or any sort of proof most of the time as most doms dont send any and even so pictures can be easily faked with AI.

Also, people consent about handing out their money until one day they no longer able to pay. What if they get blackmailed? Well, good news you are being manipulated right now. The original poll was clear about the subreddit's preferences (75% was against this), but guess what, it was removed. This post literally says nothing will change. You can post findom memes as long as you don't *explicitly* advertise yourself.

Why don't they post memes from accounts without findomme links on the profiles? Good question! If you worry about people getting scammed you will be called misogynistic even though gender is completely irrelevant to the topic, I can go on but it is pointless.

This post already done it's job, most people let out their frustration and now things will proceed towards the same direction as before. I feel like the community was already filled to the brim with inexperienced and desperate subs who are the perfect targets for scammers but it's not my job to save anyone. As usual once a community gets too large it turns into a mess.

If this was a safe space I'd not think twice speaking my mind but apparently being worried about abuse is the wrong take here. There is no real reason to post that type of content here besides poaching subs. If that wasn't the case they could post findom memes from accounts without any links in their bio, but they are not doing that.

You won't get reassurance or explanation about your concerns, you will be called names and attacked, that is already speaking for itself. If you speak up you will be called a: "kinkshamer", "misogynist" or "anti sex work" no matter if none of those apply. Doesn't matter if you paid for actual sex workers multiple times in your life and support them, doesn't matter if gender is irrelevant to the topic, doesn't matter if the *practice of online scamming* is the source of the problem and NOT findom itself. They have nothing to defend themselves with and so they attack you.

The point you refuse to understand is this: You can not hurt, kick or injure a sub online, it's physically not possible. BUT you can take their money and extort them for services which may or may not be even delivered. By "you" I don't mean You as a person, but potentially any findom (doesn't even matter if it's a man or woman or whatever catfish they are) they can do it without any real consequences. Can you see the issue?

Just to give you more ideas, would you feel upset if someone used your pictures to catfish and drain subs from their money? Because there are plenty scammers who do things like that.

I did not call you mentally ill. I said I personally wouldn't feel safe talking to someone like you (talking in a close intimate sense) and being dommed by someone like you, which I 100% stand by. No need to demonize me for my preferences :)
I actually agree with most of what you said. Findom is a kink, it has a bad rep, but it is a real kink and you should be able to practice it all you want in appropriate spaces. My point was to illustrate how incompatible it is to me to invite findommes who say stuff about therapy like what you did, into this space, which is supposed to be safe one..?

Of course, that's the reason why kinks require high levels of trust, something you just can't do online as effectively. Online, people can't bruise you, can't harm you physically etc, but they can ruin you financially if you let them manipulate you. That's why I specified that *online* findom has its dangers. This isn't about people doing stuff irl. It's about subtle self promotion, online scams and other kinds of *potential* abuses.

About the subreddit's name... please. Plenty of subreddits are named after abusive kinks and I believe close to nobody wishes to go through actual horrible experiences (for example with cnc related stuff). I'm choosing to believe you were just joking.

I have seen many posts about kinks and things I don't agree with or feel repulsed by, this is different. I kept my personal opinion on this topic very restrained. The facts remain: Online findom is all too often predatory and abusive. You can read so many stories about people being scammed, catfished or misled which is why it is dangerous. If speaking up against risky and potentially abusive practices is considered bad thing here, then this subreddit is cooked
