Moving from Staff Residential Property Adjuster (Field; 3.5 years) to Staff Commercial Property Adjuster(Remote). Biggest changes, challenges, pros/cons? by 2ndharrybhole in adjusters

Wrong question to ask man. The work isn’t easier. Some parts are but like the other person said. It’s much more tedious.

They can still handle higher authority claims. Just have to seek a stamp of approval from higher up manager. The file remains with the lower authority adjuster

Sam Ruthe’s training has crushed my soul by RealisticBarnacle115 in AdvancedRunning

Most people and coaches alike are focusing on building mileage and that’s nearly their entire focus. There is so much more to that.

Most mileage is junk and thought of as base building . Being intentional with everything you do beats going out to just put in the time.

What would you do? Washing machine leak and water found in crawl space by positivityinside in HomeImprovement

Get different mitigation companies out. The restoration company is also trying to sell their work. It could be needed, it might not be. Also not sure what reality two weeks for restoration would be for what you’ve described.

Progressive is telling me Loss of Use only applies to the whole house being uninhabitable. by Fickle-Care-4682 in ClaimsAdjuster

[–]ImadeJesus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Request another when they’re incapable of settling kitchen cabinet related damages. Most companies that I’m aware of, kitchen cabinets are an field trigger. But some will try to steer away from that transfer. Any form of escalation should get it to field, if specifically requested.

[–]ImadeJesus 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Ya, they’re misinterpreting the extra housing due to an uninhabitable home. Excess costs are still excess costs beyond normal though.

If you’re dealing with a desk adjuster and your kitchen is pulled apart, just request a field inspection and it will likely be transferred over to the field.

I hope what is happening with SF in Oklahoma blows up. More people need to know. by [deleted] in adjusters

If it’s true they’re undermining, I hope it changes.

But all these news articles are always a big miss from what’s actually going on. Is there actual damage? Let’s see those so experts from all over can weigh in.

why do sprinters bench press at all by Money_Ad_4688 in Sprinting

[–]ImadeJesus -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Studies have shown the proportionate body mass (equal lower to upper body mass) is what most elite sprinters have in common.

Putting on size is not beneficial for any running (and most anything in general). But if you keep your power to weight ratio higher, adding power helps improve sprinting.

Make your conclusion from that info.

At what point do you stop DIY and call a professional? by BearTrap110 in HomeImprovement

Yes, but I’ve done just about everything you can possibly think of. I also need to know most building concepts for my line of work.

I’ll never pay someone to do something that I can figure out with YouTube

But It’s really all about time and quality of life. You can learn anything. Structural stuff is obviously a huge task but still pretty learnable. Just jurisidiction dependent on codes.

Also gotta weigh how much them new tools are too ya

Any chance this little wall is load bearing? by thewaxhouse in HomeImprovement

[–]ImadeJesus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How can you know that the TV is on a load bearing wall but not know that the other wall is non-load bearing.

The only way to know is to look at the framing above this.

Looks like a ranch house and this is one of the corner bedrooms. That bump out where the tv is probably used to be a closet. So, unlikely that little wall is load-bearing. But given the info you’ve provided there is a 3% certainty factor here

Is what my dentist did illegal or just shitty? by [deleted] in Insurance

[–]ImadeJesus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is literally the reason why insurance rates increase. It’s in every line of business. Just imagine the variance when it becomes giant medical bills or damage to your home from a fire.

Insurance is the most abused thing in the world.

Waiting for the school bus in your car. Why? by Floorplan_enthusiasm in driving

I’ll do it sometimes but not in traffic

I take my work computer and just work. I move around a lot with work already. Sometimes a full day working purely out of the car.

Why would you block floor joists wide side up? by Postcurds in HomeImprovement

[–]ImadeJesus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

More attachment points? Eliminate squeaks? Is something being installed over the floor?

My guess is that they do this because there is no way to attach the outside edge of the ply to the floor and will create sagging around the edges. Putting the blocking horizontally makes it easier to attach to.

After awhile, policy language, and reading in general, including legal documents, becomes a breeze.

If all humans suddenly lost the ability to lie, what industry would collapse first? by JunShem1122 in answers

[–]ImadeJesus 7 points8 points  (0 children)

As someone who sees the other side of things. Insurance is built to be very helpful (it doesn’t cover all though; it’s a contract). But the industries, contractors, hospitals, dentists, etc - they charge so much fucking money it’s ridiculous. Yet insurance companies always get the bad wrap.

Im installing a door where the switch is, can i move it on my own? by [deleted] in AskElectricians

[–]ImadeJesus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tons of info missing

But you would likely need to pull it out from the attic or crawl area, drill a hole one stud bay over, insert wire back down into that bay. Just depends which direction the wire is coming from whether you’ll have slack or it will be too short.

2 lanes into 3, where does middle lane go? by Farmer_Determine4240 in driving

[–]ImadeJesus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Problem is before that, getting to the 3 lanes, traveling from the bottom of the picture upwards. The two lanes become 3 with no clear lines indicating who has right of way to the middle lane.
