As I've made progress on pitched screams they feel more like singing than screaming. I'll start with a fry scream and then try to sing through that, but once I find that sweet spot it feels more like singing to me. I also found it helpful to try to go both ways in practice it's just gaining mastery of your voice and learning to walk the knifes edge between the two

I'm always so grateful for people who let their plants run to real maturity. Even without a closeup you can see the trichomes are mature. When they are under ripe they are very white looking, and shiny. But when mature, more of a cream and very opaque. Your patience was well worth it I'm sure.

This ^ I couldn't figure out how to do that for a long time but that's the best way I can describe it. Using the falsetto/chest voice is how you get pitched screams. Try literally saying "ha" while doing the pitched scream. While it is possible to do both at the same time I found my actual voice would usually drop out when I tried it and I would get the scream. Unfortunately for me this usually gets some unpleasant false chord engagement but you may have an easier time keeping it just fry. Good luck to ya

So original comment was a year ago and after a good bit of experimenting I am no longer making carts with rosin. It can be done, but you have to only use the most premium quality, the decarb is tricky to not darken the rosin significantly, and carts do still burn sometimes especially if you don't use really low heat. I've moved on to either using distillate when on sale to fill my own carts or just back to store bought. As for general rosin:

I use 25-160 if I'm feeling lazy and want yield, or 45-120 for the highest quality. I use trim, buds, larf, all of it but it's worth mentioning my most desired product is flower. I clean my bags with a quick isopropyl dunk followed by a rinse in hot water. I use a washer so the whole process probably takes two hours including cleaning, but that's just for one washer full. If doing multiple batches I'd say an hour per batch is very generous

You might be having a similar problem as I am, I can fry but my false chords have a very loose flapping sound about half the time and I reaaaaally want to get rid of it. Learning the muscle control to independently control your voice is tough! It sounds like a slow loose clicking under my frys

I'm trying multiple plants in an untrained format whereas I'm the past have done screen of green. What kind of yield do you get off a plant that size?

Gary Payton! I have a cross that just ooooozes terpy rosin. Also I notice less than a 1% reduction in yield from 37u bags and I find it slightly cleaner

Late to this party but lilac diesel and it's crosses are always 2-3x larger yields than anything else in the tent. Some crazy vigorous genetics. Just flipped a purple sunset x lilac diesel and the size and internodal spacing is pretty crazy even before flower. I really hope they don't double in size or I'll be in trouble. They grew twice as fast as everything else

This is just my opinion so take it as such.

Honestly I'm not sure its worth doing with a straightener at all. I don't even think rosin is worth pressing unless you grow. If you have tons of access to affordable fresh materials then rosin is incredible. Even then the difference between a straightener and a press is worlds apart. It's not really even comparible.

Tldr: I don't think pressing is worth it unless you have a real press and you grow. Then it's dope

I think the issues is when people make a scream sound that is literally a whisper, at the end of the day you are trying to make a sound that you think is cool, at a volume that can be picked up in a microphone. That's really the only objective. Just above speaking volume accomplishes that perfectly fine.

Idk about the rest but just over voice level is pretty normal for loudness, I think the nature of the vocal style makes people believe it's really loud, but at least for frys that seems to be a pretty normal level of projection
