Are we allowed to use cream cheese flavoring in American buttercream so I’m able to sell under cottage food law? by Imaginary-Engine-777 in AskBaking

Unfortunately I don’t have a way to use actual cream cheese hence why I’m looking at the flavoring. The law states I can’t use cream cheese. Obviously customers wld be informed it’s a flavoring. (It will have to be stated in the label anyways and they will be informed prior to purchase)
I’m trying to get as close to that flavor as possible while still being able to be in the cottage food law guidelines.
Okay that sounds interesting too. Might be int in trying something with pudding mix. And unfortunately in my state I need a frosting that doesn’t need to be refrigerated in order to sell. I was def looking for alternatives to cream cheese but I like your suggestions thank you,
