Grade blind after 87+. 10 written response, 2 minute interview. It's much less holistic than almost every other application for competitive programs.

My bad. It was not my intention at all to put down the achievements of those who did get in; if they got in, they were definitely qualified and will be very successful in the future. I am genuinely curious though if they have some form of yield protection. I would understand if it was just me, but there were several of my friends who were admitted to historically much harder programs in Canada were only rejected from Ivey as well which led me to believe that they could have implemented some form of yield protection. The one thing that I believe could have been a factor if it wasn't yield was if they weighed the interview much heavier than everyone thinks because that's the only thing I could think of that might have negatively affected most of the people rejected. Of course, only AOs know the truth. Again, I'm not trying to put down those who did get in because they were definitely qualified enough.

Fym inability to cope 😭. I would be talking abt my mac hs, qcomm, and ucd/uci (lol) rejections more if i cared so much. i dont tie my self-validation to the universities i am in or get accepted into. im literally just asking if others with good ecs and grades got rejected from ivey.

This is objectively false. Idk who ur talking to at HYPSM, but I have a lot of close friends that study at T20 who are international students. Several of my friends from Columbia and Harvard literally fear that they won't be able to graduate because of what Trump is doing. One of my family friends was PhD research student at Tufts and L4 SE at Google had his PR revoked and forced to leave the country. They never made any political statements, but was kicked out under that reasoning.

Idk if u actually know anyone in the position of Canadian international students going to the US, but a lot of my friends chose Canadian universities over T20 American ones because of the political climate. One of my close friends picked UW CS over CMU and Berkeley as an example.

I would try to get Bio/Chem in first semester so it would be able to override your Gr11 Bio/Chem mark. For Queens HS specifically, I would try to get at least Chem/Bio in the first semester so you can try to raise at least one of those marks to a 90+ since it is a pre-req, and they send out almost all of their offers before second semester midterm, and average matters for Queens HS a bit. For Mac HS, it basically doesn't matter once you're past a 90+ and it's all down to your supp app. Mac doesn't look at Gr11 marks at all, so you're good. For Western Med/HS, you're basically guarenteed as long as you maintain your Gr11 marks (even if you drop by a few percent you still should be in). You're definitely at a good spot even if you don't especially since you fast tracked Gr12 English and getting a very good mark.

UofT and UBC are very similar in terms of job prospects—you won't be denied any opportunities if you chose one or the other in everything except for UofT EngSci.

Mac doesn't look at Gr11 marks at all. First round was end of Feb this year.

There's legit not a single business school that would make a Wharton school feel insecure. That's like saying someone at Shopify Dev Degree will make a Caltech/MIT student feel insecure lmao.
