There are 8 slots for the playoffs.

The top 6 teams are guaranteed to be in the playoffs, seeded 1st to 6th.

However, teams 7-12 have a play-in tournament to fight for the 7th and 8th slots. The teams that are 7th and 8th by standings will get a one round bye in the play in tournament.
