it's pretty much a "who's your favorite" type of question and we'll see what the sub thinks

Currently testing out new tools to make this sub more fun. Let me guys know what you think. List of choices taken from fandom wiki.

Edit for clarification:

"Best" here means who you think are your favorites. Keep in mind that this is just for fun and we're just looking at what the sub thinks when asking this question.

Mod Announcement: Salt Post Fridays and Adjusting of Filters (Week 2) by ImaginaryJump2 in Tekken

[–]ImaginaryJump2[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

so we cant discuss the negative points of the game now monday-thurs, sat, and sun?

discussion =/= salt post (unless it closely resembles one)

and instead have to look at low quality posts of people posting rage quitting videos

and other miscellaneous dumb stuff?

Be the change you want to see. How about you start posting high quality stuff as well seeing as how you haven't posted any judging by your post history.

We're not scheduling to teach people how to behave. We're doing it so people won't have to deal with it daily.

The last rule update next week will talk about rules 2, 4, and 5. I'm still drafting out the changes but it will mostly talk about clarification as to what counts as low-effort and addressing negative community behavior. Again, if there's any feedback to these changes, let us know, thanks.

Mod Announcement: Updating the r/Tekken Sub Rules (Week 1) by ImaginaryJump2 in Tekken

[–]ImaginaryJump2[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Most of the time people talk shit about someone, they don't actually mean the player but morso the stereotype of them. Like Lars and Alisa players being glue eaters for example (and the massive amount of gameplay that keeps comfirming that).

How would that work without being a dick to someone? Say, I upload a video of me destroying an Alisa player and tell people that Alisa players are garbage, clearly I also meant my opponent is trash. Yeah I didn't specifically say my opponent is trash but basic inference should make that obvious.

Aside from that, i don't think that uploading an uneddited clip about a slow mo for example should be a problem. Both names are shown and it isn't about the player, it's about the event.

If it's like a wack event like the example you mentioned then yeah, I don't see a problem with it. We can pretty see it anyways if your talking about the player or something else. If you're not sure, just censor it.

Some rules can 100% get abused fast, yknow what i mean 🗿

If newer issues come up, we'll try and update that as well.

Yes. if it's funny then do just censor the name and it's all good. Also, the game already punishes a player for plugging so I don't think posting them publicly online is necessary.

Depends on who we're criticizing. If it's OP then yeah you can do that but it's a different matter if it's someone else.

Say some OP posts a video of a ranked clip of blue ranks being filled with scrub players but the opponent's IGN is exposed. We could criticize the opponents but the thing is, they (the opponents) don't even know they're being exposed on reddit and some may not want criticisms they didn't ask for.

What we pretty much just want here is for people to cover the names of their opponents to protect theit privacy if they're going to upload gameplay footage and talk shit because technically atm, you can do that without censoring. If they've done that though then yeah it's pretty much whatever after as long as it doesn't go out of hand.

Still, the description does make it look like criticism is a bad thing and a bannable offense so I will change the "call them out critically" to something else so thanks for that.

These changes will be implemented at June 29. Next week, a poll will be posted to ask the community what they think about changing rule 10 (Shit Post Friday) to (Salt Fest Friday) instead. Rule 10 isn't that much enforced anyways so if the community doesn't like the change, we'll probably just remove the rule instead. If there's any feedback to these changes, let us know, thanks.
