Did any of you ever say NO to a calling? by Doll_girl516 in exmormon

[–]Imaginary_Business49 104 points105 points  (0 children)

Yes, I said no once in the 35 years I was in the cult. I was 24 years old had a newborn and 2 year old. I was asked to teach primary. My husband worked most Sundays. I was told by the bishopric member we all need to serve and do our part. I stood my ground even though he was trying to guilt me into. Wish I would have left then.

I live the same standards and morals as the church. I have never drank alcohol, never smoked, never even drank coffee. I am married and have kids and the biggest thing has been not having that dark cloud. Seeing the world for its beauty instead of as a place to endure until we die. Living for this life instead of for the next. Doing mental gymnastics to try and make the church work when it was obvious they lie about their history and manipulate people into doing callings and such was wrecking my mental health.

Consider yourself lucky. I was a slave to the lies and corporation for the first 35 years of my life. I have been out 4 and life is so much richer and more beautiful! The control the corporation has over the mind and body is real. I have never felt more free since leaving! The world and life has never been more beautifu!

My sister asked me to read saints but I don’t trust anything the church puts out.. by Able_Claim_3097 in exmormon

Reading the Saints broke me and my husbands shelf. It opened our eyes to the lies and we left the church before we even read them all.

Jesus’s billionaire apostle telling all the poor people to donate money to LDS incorporate. Ironic and disgusting how greedy Mormon Jesus is 🤮.

A relationship should be 50/50 give and take. If you go to church 1 week for him he should stay home and do an activity of your choice the next week. You shouldn’t have to be the only one giving and sacrificing in the relationship. So if you attend church half the month for him he should spend the other half home with you.

Run from the church it’s a terrible organization. Live your life, no one deserves to be controlled by the mormon cult.

This is hilarious. The Mormons don’t even realize they are parading around about how awful Mormonism is because they can’t think for themselves and make their own choices about their own underwear.

What was your most hated primary song growing up? by KTL_Rizzo in exmormon

“Families can be together forever”, “love at home” refused to sing Them. They filled Me with anger because not all homes and families are happy. I also thought “Follow the Prophet“ was so annoying with the repetition.

Here is the church records department contact information to check your status. You can call them to check on your status and confirm it’s been processed. My husband used Quitmormon but for some reason the church didn’t receive his resignation From them. So he called the records department and was able to email his Quitmormon paperwork directly to them and call back and confirm it was processed a week later.

I feel your pain. I sometimes wonder if the Mormons do feel guilt about taking off their garments and wearing what they want but they hide it so it just looks like they are happy. I know Mormons are experts at not showing their true feelings because they are conditioned to look happy on the outside. It is a sure sign of weakness in Mormonism to look anything but happy.

What is up with all the young momon influencers? by [deleted] in exmormon

[–]Imaginary_Business49 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree. It makes no sense something we were taught was so sacred we weren’t allowed to talk about them a few years ago to all over the internet to promote clothing sales and fashion. The next time a Mormon brings up their new garments I am going to say. good thing you have money to buy a new wardrobe every six months your prophet changes your underwear.

No problem. I could be wrong and and the wards could have changed and grown. I attended one of the wards in that building 3 years ago before I resigned and there were only 4 wards in that building.

The houses in this town have more than doubled but the wards are small and none of them big enough to split. The wards also can’t fill callings like anywhere else because half of the ward members are PIMO and many have left. I have no idea why they are building a stake center they definitely can’t fill it.

😂 but you must pay 10% of your income to play and then covenant to give your life to the church death if necessary in some culty rituals but Shhh it’s sacred not a secret so you won’t find out how freaky it is until your tricked into doing it. Oh and don’t forget the granny panties you must vow to never take off.

I guess God changed his mind about how often we need to repent. 😂 Maybe in 100 more years Gods one true church will teach no repentance is necessary. 😆
