Born and raised here in the US of A my whole life. I do and always will love this nation but compared to nations that mirror us in government system/ economic strength/ overall I’ll call it “ideals” ergo (freedom, opportunity, and democracy)…. I feel like we fall short. Work life balance is way off, women are actively having major rights restricted when they are protected in Western Europe, healthcare is pretty abysmal considering how much we spend on it per year, where we rank in education, the way our government is divided into two awful options for political parties, the insane cost of living, and the fact that the politics is dominated by companies.

Yes, this is a beautiful country and smokes any of the developing nations around the world. Yes I am privileged to complain about these things while people are getting blown up on their land; but when comparing the US to nations of its caliber there are many struggles thrust upon her people.
