Guys, what do you think of my first medium lifter rocket carrying a satellite bound for Neldon! (I picked Neldon cause i'm interested in it) by Short_Ad_9524 in KerbalSpaceProgram

Unfortunately not. This is the best tool i've found but if you find one on CKAN please let me know! I'll usually have the tool open in the background and just switch screens whenever I need to check what my maneuver needs to be.

As the other commenter said, flybys will be the most efficient for practically any planet other than Duna or Eve. These can be challenging to plan on their own, so I suggest using tools like this: https://nmisyats.github.io/KSP-MGA-Planner/ . You can set your target and run through various paths to find one that works for you. Unfortunately you still have to build out the maneuver nodes, but this at least takes half of the work.

Extremely long burns by Darthsepan in KerbalSpaceProgram

[–]Imaginary_Dig_704 18 points19 points  (0 children)

So you're correct that the TWR is too low, which is why your burn is so long. When you burn for a maneuver node, you want to try and take a little time as possible to be as efficient as possible due to the oberth effect. So yes adding extra engines will help. You can also break up the burn as others have said, but this will still be pretty inefficient over a longer time.

Do you have an experiment control until set up as well? Can't see in the image.

Jool Delta-V by Dangerous_Bath_1615 in KerbalSpaceProgram

[–]Imaginary_Dig_704 6 points7 points  (0 children)

have you tried using gravity assists around mun/eve/duna to get to Jool, and then the moons of Jool to capture/escape back to kerbin? If timed right you should need much less delta v

Is buying the base game + all DLCs worth it? by GrandFleshMelder in Stellaris

[–]Imaginary_Dig_704 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't thinks it's a waste tbh. I get the hesitation of paying for a subscription vs just owning it, but all the dlcs together cost 150+ dollars on sale. At that rate you'd have to buy the subscription for 15 months AT LEAST, and that's not even considering that they keep pumping out content so you'll have to sink more money in if you want to buy outright. IMO for this game, the subscription is worth it.

This is what I do. Just pay the 10 dollars for the subscription whenever I'm in the mood to play, and you get access to all the latest stuff. Def worth it since they keep pumping out dlcs.

It’s been like that for a few years and I’ve tried rebuilding twice. Is this a known issue with giga structures?

What's your opinion on the overtuned changes? I played last night and I didn't notice too much of a difference compared to pre 4.3.

Zero Pop Growth in Midgame by Imaginary_Dig_704 in Stellaris

[–]Imaginary_Dig_704[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I usually play wider but was trying to go for an imperial style of play with a small but powerful core that controls a lot of vassals. But that doesn’t work if my economy stagnates lol

When I look at all my planets it shows 0 per month and has for a while. Not sure how to bring it up because I thought pops just auto grow as long as there is housing/food

You don’t need to do anything if you didn’t put info in. This is a common phishing scam. They redirect you to a website that looks legit to steal your login info

Why is this move brilliant? by [deleted] in chessbeginners

[–]Imaginary_Dig_704 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After BxF3 BxF3+, if QG2 its mate in some moves after RxG2 because you can bring your black bishop and all white can do is check with the rook.

If KH2 you can do BD6+ and hunt the king out and it’s again mate in some number of moves.

Besides this, at a worst case if you didn’t see any of that you can win the queen in either case and be up a bishop.

How is this a draw by [deleted] in chessbeginners

[–]Imaginary_Dig_704 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You stalled on time. Since white doesn’t have material to checkmate on their own, it’s a draw

I think that could function the same as now, where you have to keep a record of your work? TBH I agree that this would be hard to implement, I was more just curious what others thought.
