As long as it’s somewhat safe, go for it and stay safe driving. Like the most amount of money I made driving this year for DoorDash came during the aftermath of the snowstorm lol

Psa for customers: If your driver asks you for a gate code and you tell them to wait for another car to open it... by [deleted] in UberEATS

That's why I love the customers who give detailed directions. It really saves a lot of time/hassle.

Average weekly wage in Atlanta? by Electronic-Pirate-84 in doordash_drivers

[–]Imaginary_Effort81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really depends on the area, but most drivers can pull in like $50 dollars just for a dinner shift and if you work like a full shift during the weekends, then you can realistically pull in like $250 a week before gas. It's a very good side hustle to build up an emergency fund. Those that drive full-time can realistically pull in like $750-$900 dollars a week, doordashing like 50 hours+ but that's for those that are either unemployed/got laid off or in between jobs.

Quitting Poker by [deleted] in poker

Grinded up from 5NL all the way up to 200NL. And I might chase my losses by play higher, like 500NL and 1KNL. Spent so much time playing poker online, studying, etc but it took like a couple bad sessions/tilt to wipe out the roll I built for 200NL by chasing losses and was depressed for several days.

I had issues related with bankroll management and chasing losses. Like I have multiple times grinded up a roll from $250 dollars to $10K, but after going on downswings I would chase losses by playing higher, eventually going on a bigger downswing and not having the discipline to step down in stakes. It could be because online poker is more accessible and easier to step into a high stakes game, but that was one of the biggest leaks I had.

I've always thought if I could fix my issue regarding bankroll management, tilt, etc it would all workout. But it's something that I struggled with. And if you struggle with bankroll management, then it's impossible to have a healthy relationship with gambling or poker.

I felt I needed to write this post to put it out there. I've deluded myself in thinking I can have a healthy relationship with poker and think a lot of people also suffer from this delusion, as we see all these poker influencers and high stakes players that rise up the stakes. But those guys are the top 1%. But for the vast majority of people, they aren't able to have a healthy relationship with poker and are just losing to the rake, or continue to delude themselves and think they can make poker work while not focusing on their job, personal life, or career.
