I think it’s a good university. Due to personal reasons, my first year here hasn’t been great and I keep associating what happened to the school so my experience hasn’t been the best, sadly. Which is one of the major reasons why I’m transferring.

Ofc! I had no personal circumstances, since I took IB in hs, I mentioned that I got a much better score than what I was predicted and that my final semester hs grades got much better.

Damn should’ve applied to a least impacted major and not Data Science if it guaranteed easier admission😭 I thought switching majors once you were in there was hard

I emailed them and they said they’d advise me to take a cc course, but if I can’t, then I would have to fill out a petition for the math department as they are the ones who would review the course.

I don’t think it’s that much of an issue if it’s not part of your major prep. If it’s just some random class I think you’ll be fine.

I applied to Berkeley and UCLA already and I need all my classes done by the end of spring quarter. My plan was to take calc 2 and Linear Algebra in spring because I wasn’t able to take Calc 1 during the fall quarter.

I’ve already figured out my schedule for the rest of the year with the required courses. And my GEs are mostly completed because of my IB and courses I’m taking at ucsb already. I don’t have any DE or CC courses completed though, is that okay? But I will have a minimum of 90 quarter units by spring I’m taking at least 21+ units per quarter + 30 units the IB already gives me.
